I'm a Devil Hunter (Himeno x Male Reader)

Chapter 7: Promise

You were sitting next to the warehouse Himeno told you about when she arrived with Power and Denji.

"Hey guys. Ready to kill whatever the hell's in there?"

Power: "Uh, yeah. That's what we're getting paid for."

Himeno: "Let's get inside."

The four of you enter the warehouse and look around for the devil. All you saw were old snacks, clothes, etc. Suddenly, you heard something under where you're standing and ran fast as a Centipede Devil burst out of the floor.

You pulled out your Odachi and charged at the Devil. Power arrived and forms a spear of blood and did the same.

Power stabbed the Devil and you cut through its body. The Devil threw you and you ended up in a large tire that spun away, while Power's horns ended up in your behind.

"Power, get your horns out of my ass!"

Power: "Get your ass out of my horns!"

The tire hit a shelf and stopped, and you and Power stepped out.

"I hope Denji handling that thing."

You ran back to the fight and witnessed Denji fighting the Centipede Devil. You and Power resume the fight and the Devil knocked over shelves to slow you and her down.

You caught up to the Devil and ignited your swords, then you dashed and cut off pieces of the Devil's body. The devil still attempted to get away, but you threw your Odachi and cut off the head.

Power and Denji arrive and brutalize the remaining moving body part.

Himeno: "Well, that thing's dead. You did very well, Y/N."

"I did, but so did they."

Himeno looked at the sight of Power and Denji still stabbing the Devil's remains.

Himeno: "Yeah, they did. Well, let's report back to headquarters."

You returned to headquarters and give your report. Afterwards, Denji and Power leave as you and Himeno still hang at headquarters for a little bit.

"So, that was something."

Himeno: "Pretty much."

"Power's horns got stuck in me for a bit. Glad all they left were a few cuts."

Himeno: "That's a new injury for a Devil hunter."

"I know I said this before, but I don't mind this line of work."

Himeno: "Me neither. By the way, why don't you come to my place later?"

You thought about the question for a second.

"Sure."

Himeno: "Great. See you."

You went to an arcade and heard some of the attendees talk about Denji's hybrid form.

"Great for you, Denji."

After a few hours, you left to go to Himeno's apartment. Upon entering, you saw Himeno drinking a can of beer.

"Why am I not surprised?"

Himeno: "Relax, I only had one."

"Whatever."

You placed your Odachi near the door and sat on the couch next to Himeno.

"So, why'd you ask me to come here? Want to watch a movie or something?"

Himeno leaned towards you and grabbed your hand.

Himeno: "I said if you worked hard, I'd reward you with something better than a kiss. And you did kill that Devil."

She ran your hand up her leg and waist.

Himeno: "I thought better now than later."

"I'm not going to say no, but I don't know anything regarding this."

Himeno: "It's okay. Just do your best."

You couldn't stop looking her in her eye. Before you knew it, you wrapped your arms around Himeno and pulled her in, and you kissed as your revolver slipped out of its holster and fell, causing the bullets to scatter on the floor.
