Chapter 8: New Day

You woke up and found yourself in bed with a sleeping Himeno. You looked surprised at how she looks while sleeping.

She then woke up and saw you.

Himeno: "Morning. How was last night?"

"It was... It was really nice," you said, blushing.

Himeno rubbed your head.

Himeno: "I'm happy to hear that. I had a lot of fun myself."

"It was my first time."

Himeno: "Really? I know you said you had a few crushes before you joined us, but is this really your first time?"

"Yes."

Himeno wrapped her arms around you and pulled you into her chest.

Himeno: "I don't want to get up yet. Let's just stay in bed a bit longer."

"I think I'd like that."

Himeno: "Good. And if you keep working hard, we'll have more bonding sessions in bed together."

"I work hard for everyone, and I'll... I'll work harder for you."

Himeno: "Hey, after we feel like getting out of bed, want to go on a date together? We shouldn't let this feel like a one-night stand."

"Yeah, I guess so."

You and Himeno slept a little longer before getting up later and leaving the apartment. You and Himeno decided to go on a date together.

You and Himeno first went to the arcades for a bit, where you got a high score on a shoot-em-up while Himeno received a good amount of prizes from a crane machine. You then went to the part of the city that overlooks the ocean.

Himeno smoked a cigarette as you looked at her. She noticed this and looked at you.

Himeno: "Stop staring at me. You're making me blush. What is it?"

"Why did you sleep with me? I don't think that's something you'd offer to anybody."

Himeno: "Because I like you. I considered saying that I was teasing you, but I genuinely liked you, so I decided to keep that promise."

"Thanks. I'm honestly surprised that you liked someone like me. I'm not exactly the most mature Devil hunter."

Himeno: "You're more mature than Denji and Power."

"Cut them some slack. They haven't had the best life before they joined."

Himeno: "Hmm, I guess that is true. You want to head home now? There's something else I wanted to give you."

"Sure."

You and Himeno headed back to her apartment, where she pulled out one of her couch cushions and a box from a hidden compartment. After she gave it to you, you opened it and saw a revolver.

"Thank you, Himeno."

Himeno: "You're welcome."

You holstered the gun and Himeno pulled you into a big French kiss. She broke off the kiss and gave a big smile at you.

Himeno: "Like I said, keep working hard, and I'll think about not stopping at one night of sex."

"I'll work hard for you, Himeno."

You and Himeno kissed each other again.
