Ási sat outside the hospital room, Fírinne pacing before him.
"I can't believe they would kick me out, I mean, I'm a doctor, and they need all the help they can get!"
Ási sighed, dragging a hand over his face. "Fírinne, the reason they kicked us out is because we were acting unreasonable, and they needed focus to treat Aisling's injuries"
Hours passed, the two just sitting there, waiting for any news of their friends condition, but when the news finally came, it was not what they excpected.
"She needs to visit the Prophetess"
Ási jumped up "What?! She can't go to the prophetess, she'll be-"
He was suddenly interrupted by a silver tabby meowing loudly.
The nurse spoke again "As I was saying, the girl you brought in requires better medical care than what we can provide, so you will have to go visit the prophetess."
Fírinne smiled at the nurse, her red hair swishing as she nodded. "It makes sense, we'll get her there as soon as we can"
The nurse spoke again "I will let you see her to get her, but she looks pretty bad..."
The door swung open, and they all gasped. Aisling was wrapped head to toe in bandages, stained red in some places from the amount of blood pouring out of her wounds. It reminded Ási of a legend he had heard once of a white lotus and a red rain, with the bandages being the white lotus and the blood the red rain. Aisling's eyes fluttered open, her raven optical devices looking at him, being clouded from pain and fear. In her mind she was still fighting that fae. That fae that looked like her cousin, just for one second.
They swung at each other, Aisling attacking with her scimitars left and right. The fae swung with a dance move, a fuete, she thought it was called. The ice danced, it's silver green and blue flashing in her eyes.
And then- the fae faded away, her eyes clearing.
"Ási?" Her voice was quiet, barely a whisper.
"I'm here too y'know," Firínne stated, rolling her eyes as she said so. "You have to go to the Prophetess to fully recover, or else your wounds will never heal." Her words were delivered bluntly, and with little emotion, which was the way she had been talking since the moment that she entered the hospital.
Aisling winced, glancing upwards at Firínne, "Sorry...I didn't see you."
Firínne rolled her eyes again. She was doing it every other second or so ever since they entered the hospital.
"Come on, let's go" she said, surveying Aisling.
Aisling tilted her head. "Go where?"
Firínne sighed, and said "Do you think you can ride a horse or will we have to walk?"
Aisling stated "I can barely move my arms so I think we'll have to walk, or have me ride with someone else?"
Firínne nodded, turning to Ási. "You can ride with her, right?"
He nodded, picking Aisling up.
"Let's go" he muttered, walking out the door.
Aisling jerked. "Wait! Go where!?"
Firínne rolled her eyes, and then turned back to Aisling. "Didn't I tell you? We're going to see the prophetess."
