Gradually, the train became more crowded. More and more students were walking along the aisle, looking through the window into their compartment to see if it was still free, but at the sight of Leonor they quickly moved on. Oh. There's a Slytherin sitting there. Just keep moving. Very, very, very fast.' That was how popular the house was, and so were the students of its founder, Salazar Slytherin.

On the one hand, Leonor could understand why Slytherin students weren't so popular, because there were enough of them to make sure that was the case. On the other hand, you couldn't lump them all together, because the House wasn't equally important to everyone in it. As if all Ravenclaws, Gryffindors or Hufflepuffs were great people. But no matter what it was about, in the end it was everyone against Slytherin and Slytherin against everyone else.

After a quick glance out the window, which showed the other side of the station, Leonor took a small black book out of her bag, which was next to her on the bench, and began to read.

Since it would have been impossible for Leonor to stay home during the eight weeks of summer vacation, she had spent five weeks in Europe. In Spain, Italy, and France, she had worked in various magical departments, which she could describe as a kind of internship. She had then spent the last two weeks of her vacation in London, where she had actually been on vacation.

The London of the Muggle world had its charms and there was so much to discover, but the last two weeks had passed so quickly that Leonor had actually had to rush to get the last three books she was still missing.

"Salvation," a relieved voice could be heard, causing Leonor to look up from her book and see the black-haired boy in the doorway, "How long have you been here, Crouch? Let me guess. You were here before the train even pulled in."

"Nice to meet you too, Marcus," Leonor replied unimpressed and turned back to her book, "I'm not my father. Where is Adrian? Since when did one of you get along without the other?"

"Coming soon," Marcus replied unimpressed as he stowed his suitcase and then sat down across from Leonor where he pushed the book forward to find out what she was reading, "Poe. Never heard of him."

"The only books you read are the school books, and that's only because you have to," Leonor began to smile, putting the book down and folding her hands in her lap, "How was the holiday?"

"Pleasant....and, I guess your answer will be, bearable," the Slytherin team captain speculated, causing a pause as there was nothing Leonor could use to describe her time at home, "Others would be happy if their parents had to work all day, especially during the holidays."

"Others," Leonor repeated with a forced smile, because she wasn't others, and with Bartemius Crouch as her father, things were different, "I'm happy to see you too."

One thing Marcus had 'forgotten'.
