I sat in the courtyard, staring at my laptop but I wasn't absorbing any of the information in front of me.

I had too much on my mind to be able to comprehend any of it right now.

Senioritis was real, because forcing myself to do any assignment for the last month has been warfare. I slammed my laptop shut with a groan of defeat, standing up.

And then there was that little shit.

Ugh Atsumu.

I kept forgetting and then remembering that I promised to call him today. He did give me leeway with it not being a video chat but I was so nervous nevertheless. Over text, it's okay to hesitate and plan out what to say, but with the way my nerves have been recently due to his progressively increasing amount of boldness.

"Little shit..." I grumbled under my breath.

I might change his contact name to that.

I pulled out my phone to do just that, unfortunately unable to withstand the smile that graced my lips when I saw his good morning text.

Good morning Evelyn, I hope you have a good day at school

Im going to sleep now, but ill be thinking of you before falling asleep 😉

talk to you later:)

Of course, distracted by the way his message made my heart flutter I resorted to typing a response rather than changing his name to the one he deserved. This however did not work either as Bella's voice echoed across the courtyard followed by quick footsteps.

"EVELYN!"

I spun around and saw her running frantically, waving her phone in the air. My eyes wide as she just barely managed to come to a halt right in front of me.

"YOU ARE GOING- TO SHIT YOURSELF WHEN YOU- SEE THIS!" she exclaimed, huffing in between her words. I cocked an eyebrow at her,  "What are you yapping about...", but let's just say she was completely right.

"Oh my god..." I uttered, my eyes glued to the screen.

Staring at the photo pulled up on her phone was an understatement to say the least. I was shamelessly gawking at it.  My lips parted, my heart pounding a million miles an hour as my eyes scanned the boy in the photo.

He was gorgeous.

I took the phone into my hands, holding it closer as if to confirm that what I was seeing was the reality. Indeed, the dyed blonde hair he told me about when he got it done, his school's volleyball uniform... the arrogance, it all matched up.

It was him.

The photo was of Atsumu in his black uniform, perfectly contrasting his dyed blonde hair. It suited him perfectly might I add. I took note of the cocky crooked smile gracing his lips, and his entrancing eyes that kept me there, shamefully gawking at him because how in the world would I be able to speak if I do a video chat with him. I would be a blubbering, nervous mess.

I swiped to the next photo, which was with a group of other boys. It must have been his volleyball team, all the boys dressed in the same uniform. Tsumu was standing with his back to the camera, pointing to his last name printed on the back of his shirt with cocky smirk plastered on his annoyingly symmetrical, perfect face.
