A/N:

First of all, I'd just like to say, thank you so much for reading this book. This is the first book I've ever published on here, so if I've accidentally skipped over any grammar or tense errors (I tend to accidentally switch tense when I write for some reason) or even spelling mistakes, please let me know. Also, I use the oxford comma, so sorry if that annoys you.

Notes about historical accuracy:

I've tried my best to put in the right amount of research to make this book (semi) realistic. Here are a few notes to avoid confusion, and I will add any necessary as I go.

- The Queen's gentlewomen (ladies in waiting) were split into two. They were referred to as Maids of Honour if they were young and unmarried, and were only referred to as ladies in waiting if they were married adult women.

- The gentlewomen were referred to as Ladies if they came from a noble family, and Mistress if they were not.

- These women couldn't get married without the Queen's permission and often the Queen chose a suitable husband for them.

- This is based heavily around Elizabethan England, as I always found it fascinating that she never married (though I'm not suggesting that it was because she was a lesbian) and this idea just popped into my head one day. The start of the book is set in 1565.

- If you're a nerd like me and you have any historical corrections, please let me know.
