The world of poetry and literature have taken a downfall. When you think back to Shakespeare, Edgar Allan Poe, Emily Dickinson, Rainer Maria Rilke, William Blake(my personal favorite), there has been a drastic change. Yes, over time change is expected, but I believe we can all agree that the (what I call) "Elizabethan" wording and word choice is the most elegant.
With this being said, I challenge you to write about an inanimate object every day. You can use whatever type of wording you want. You can make it a ballad of how a chair became the setting of an old man's last breath, or anything you can find.
Good luck to you all and please send me the link to your poetry in my comments. Also I edit and critique, just inbox me the title and genre and I will tell you what I would like in return. Thank you so much!
