6 : Why ?

I slowly open my eyes and realize the bed is empty. I quickly take a shower before heading to the living room, my towel wrapped around my waist.

London is lying on the couch. The large t-shirt she's wearing doesn't cover her bottom, so I can easily see her red thong from where I'm standing.

I don't know if she does it on purspose or not but she got an insane sex appeal. I honestly just want to eat her right now.

I get closer to kiss her neck, which makes her jump.

"You scared me." She hugs me.

I put a kiss on her forehead before sitting next to her.

"Sorry."

"It's fine. Look at the news."

"It's so horrible, Dorian. They shot him and his wife. This poor man's knees were broken. Who could do such a thing ?"

"That's fucked up."

"What if they're the same people who are hunting you down ?"

"I don't think it's them."

"You don't know about it." She puts her head on my lap.

I get a call from Sam.

"Did you turn your TV on ?"

"Yes."

"What do we do now ?"

"Nothing."

"She there ?"

"Yes."

"Aight. Call me back."

I hang up and put the phone on the coffee table.

"You don't have to worry, L. Nothing will happen to me or to you."

"What if something does happen ?" She sits up straight to face me.

"Don't think too much about all that, okay ?"

"Aren't you worried ?" She frowns.

"No."

"People are getting killed and that does nothing to you ?"

"These things happen. Long as they ain't coming for me, why should I be worried about ?"

"How can you be so heartless ?"

I ignore her question and stand up. I go to the kitchen to pour myself a glass of whisky to drink along with my morning blunt.

"If you keep on with that, nobody will ever get to kill you."

"That's my lil morning routine."

"You should change it."

I smirk, taking a slug of my drink.

"You had the chance to leave this night... But, for the second time, you didn't. My sixth question is : why ?"

"I don't feel safe outside."
