Hey. Listen up.

Untitled Part 1

Okay. I am so tired of people threatening to end their own lives.

I understand that things get tough. Things get stressful and painful and you want a way out. I know life isn't all sunshine and rainbows, okay, I'm not that naive. 

But is death really your best option? 

Is there really nothing else you could possibly do other than harm yourself? 

Guys, please.

Okay, imagine with me for a minute that you do it. You commit this horrible act and end your own life. NOW WHAT? Now you face eternity. I believe in God, and I believe that sin will be judged. So you don't believe in God, you end your life, and now you have eternity in hell. Yeah, sounds much better. 

Maybe you don't believe in God. Here's where I pause the rant and say if you would like, I would be more than happy to share my faith with you (I am Christian, just so we are clear). Continuing the rant, so you don't believe in God or an afterlife. You die and what? You just don't exist anymore? You're just nothingness, never thinking, never feeling, for the rest of time. Is that really better than pushing forward?

And you know what's happening on the other side?

Someone finds you. Someone has to give the news to the people who care about you. Now the people who love you are bereaved, HEARTBROKEN, because you wanted an out. Not only is suicide horrible and wrong, but it is also selfish. Now the people who actually cared are left to cope with that.

I know life sucks sometimes. I know it gets really hard, you don't want it, you hate yourself, you hate everyone else. I know, okay? 

But you are more than your circumstances. You are who you were made to be, someone beautiful, talented, loved. Loved by others, and loved by God- Whether you believe it or not. 

You are so much, and your life is so much. 

Think of all the sunsets and sunRISES and laughter and smiles and promise and beautiful, wonderful things that you would never get to see if you ended it now. Think of all the people you may meet and lives you may change if you stick around. 

That is my strong opinion. If it offends you, then I am sorry, but I needed it to be said. Thank you for taking time to read this.
