Chapter One {The Headset}

Y/n's POV:

My life lowkey sucks. 

Well, I guess it's not that bad, I have food and a roof over my head- Ay, and I survived the first day at my new job! Don't get too excited, it's not like I went to university or anything, so it's just a job as a barista at my local coffee shop.

My shift was finally over, and not gonna lie, making coffee all day and having to listen to Miss "Karen" order her vanilla iced coffee with two pumps of cream and with the milk stirred in with the vanilla and no ice (How the frick do you even have an "Iced" drink with no ice!?!) was more tiring then I'd expected, and I was honestly surprised when my boss handed me my pay check for the day, and DANG, six hours of work, $25 and hour *Quickly does maths* $150 bro! I mean, that's a lot of money for a broke as 19 year old! Anyways, 150 bucks in my pocket, I drove my way back home, $150 richer. 

Well... I HAD 150 bucks... Until I noticed the sign reading "Garage sale, must go!' up ahead. I'd never been to those as a kid, because my parents thought they were "Sketchy" Or something, BUT HEY! I'm an adult now, and I can do whatever I want! 

I didn't intend to speed all of my hard earned money, but as soon as I saw the friken VR HEADSET I knew it must be mine. 

My parents used to have one while I was growing up and remember being so proud when no one was able to beat my high score on the snake game. Ah, memories... 

So I brought the headset, Which by the way did look a bit old and vintage, But it was only $149 so I was happy. The last dollar? I spent that on one of those bubble wand because- why not >:) 

 Then I drove home, just as broke as I was this morning, except with a sick VR headset. Pretty much as soon as I parked, I grabbed the headset (And the bubbles of course <3) and dashed inside, eager to try it. Practically shredding the box, I pulled out the headset and DANGG, it looked niceee. It had probably been used a couple times before, but other than that new condition. Better than expected. 

Looking back, I probably should've like, googled the brand, because it looked like some Japanese or maybe Korean brand? It was clearly not English. As I attached It snugly, my head began to pound. No, it wasn't because it was "too tight" but it was kinda like that feeling you get when you look at a screen for too long and your eyes start to hurt. I went to take it off but the screen suddenly lit up. The white was so blinding that I flinched, but I obviously couldn't see anything so I tripped backwards. But Instead of landing on my butt on the floor, I continued to fall through the empty whiteness. "OH FRICKKK-!"

And that's how I ended up here.
