Leila

Clint walks back into the office. I decide to just go to the room he told me about and get changed. I enter a bedroom that has a soft yellow hue to it. The bed is made out of white oak, and the sheets look like they are made out of some expensive cotton. On top of the bed, I spy the clothes that the girl left for me. I rummage through the clothes and decide to wear a light pink flowy dress. It's not really my style, but I do want to make a good impression infront of the Luna. Plus dresses have secretly always made me feel beautiful. Before I put the dress on, I decide its best to probably get a shower in.

After I step out of the shower and on to the cool tile floor, I can't help but feel rejuvenated. I comb my hair and let it air dry while I get dressed. I look into the full length mirror on the armoir and smile to myself. Not bad Leila, not bad. The pink flowy dress makes my skin look tanner and accentuates my curves. Just as I was about to slip on some tan wedges I heard a pounding knock on the door.

"Who is it?" I say curiously.

"Your mate, who else would it be?" A sarcastic voice says back.

"What do you want?" I bite back a little annoyed.

"Um its six o' clock." Clint informs me.

My head turns to the clock on the nightstand. Surely enough it reads six o'clock.

"Shit." I mutter under my breath.

I run towards the door and whip it open. "Ready." I say with a wink.

Clint grabs my wrist and drags me down the marble staircase.

"Ow, don't have to be so rough." I say rubbing my wrist as we enter the dining room.

"Oh be quiet, and sit down my mother will be here any minute." Clint says back.

I sit down to a long white oak table that could sit the whole pack it looks like. Whats with all the white, I think to myself.

Colt sit at the head of the table and gives me a weird look.

"What!?" I exclaim to him.

"Nothing." "You're just wearing a dress." He says back to me.

"Wow! Thanks for pointing that out, Captain Obvious!" I say back to him with a chuckle.

" Whatever, you look nice," He admits annoyed.

All of a sudden my cheeks got hot, and i felt my stomach drop. Did he really think I looked nice? Or is he just being a stupid, confusing boy, I thought to myself.

"Thanks," I say.

Clint was about to say something else but then the door rang. "Thats mother," he says getting up from his sit.

Before he leaves the room he turns around and tells me "Stay here".

Where else do I have to go, I thought to to myself.

My hands start to shake. I'm about to meet the Luna of one of the most powerful packs I know. What if she knows my father? She will just automatically be ashamed of me like everyone else. No one has ever known me for me, I've always had to live in the shadow of my father. I was quickly snapped out of my train of thought when I sensed her presence, that kind of power can be easily sensed.

A small middle aged woman steps through the door; she has beautiful blonde hair, and soft brown eyes. But the rumors were right. The Luna was broken. I thought the truth was always stretched when it came to someone losing their mate. But the rumors and the tales they were all true, when you lose your mate you truly become broken. I felt her pain just by looking into her eyes.

I stand up from my chair and the Luna crosses the room towards me.

"Its an honor to finally meet you Luna," I say bowing in front of her. But instead of responding to me she crushes me in a huge hug.

"I knew my son was going to have a beautiful mate, welcome to the family you can call me Stella or better yet mom." She says to me.

I'm shocked by her greeting but I've never been more flattered in my life.

"Thank you Luna-Stella," I say with a smile. Stella smiles back at me , and turns towards the doorway where Clint was standing.

" Lets eat," she suggests.

Five of what seems like waiters come out with big trays of food and set them on the large table. "Thank you," Stella says with a kind smile. They just bow to her and leave as quietly as they appeared.

"So Leila," Stella says while putting some food on her plate. "What pack do you come from?"

" I come from the Nightglade pack." I say back to her.

"Oh," She says falterring a bit. " I know the Alpha of your pack real well, he's as you would say quite something."

"Yeah, hes an ass," Clint chimes in.

"Clint, how dare you use profanity at the dinner table," Stella says scolding her son.

I chuckled inspite of the Alpha getting scolded by his mother. Clint just gruffed and went back to eating his dinner.

"Are you excited for the pack barbeque tomorrow Leila, I know everyone is very excited to meet you," Stella says to me.

"Pack barbecue?" I said wearily.

"Why yes, Clint hasn't told you about the barbecue?" Stella says back curiously.

"No I guess he hasn't had the time to ask me," I say looking at Clint.

Clint sighs and puts down his fork. "Everytime one of the Alpha family members find their mate we have a stupid barbecue in order to congraguale them and introduce their mates to the pack."

"The pack barbecue is not stupid Clint!" Stella exclaims. "The pack barbecue is a celebration of love and the amazing bond that we can share with another person."

"Well it sounds like fun, I can't wait to meet everyone tomorrow," I say to Stella with a smile.

Stella squeezes my hand and smiles back.

"Well I must  be going," Stella says pushing her chair in. " I want to be well rested for the pack barbecue tomorrow." "It was a pleasure to meet you Leila."

"It was a pleasure to meet you too Stella." I say back, giving her a hug.

" I will walk you out mother," Clint says.

"Oh what a sweet boy," the Luna says jokingly while following Clint to the front door.

It's nice to see how the Luna still tries to joke around even though we all know she is broken from losing her mate. Even though he's not perfect I still hope I never have to lose Clint.
