[^^Pretty close to how Fred looks in this story. Just imagine slightly fuller lips, and a more rigid expression. Not my edit! Credits to msgeorgieweasley on IG as shown in the pic]
I had a dream that night, though I don't dream often. Or ever. First time for everything!
The next day I awoke to the sound of rustling pages gently coaxing me out of sleep. I looked around, a bit lost to where I was before remembering that I had spent my first night in the Hogwarts dorms. I looked over to my right to see Hermione reading a book. The other 3 girls in our room were interesting. Two of them I liked. The Patil twins. We immediately bonded over sharing the same culture the night before, so I was excited to share a room with them. And the other girl her name was Lavender Brown. Something was off about her, but she hadn't done anything specific to upset me...yet.
I sat up out of bed, still groggy. "Good morning Hermione" I said in a breathy voice after yawning.
"Good morning Heiress."
I don't know if I imagined it, but the look that she gave me was a bit odd, though her tone was completely normal. I didn't think too much of it as I had no idea what issue there could have been.
We had a few days before classes start so most of the first year students were taking the time to check out where their classes were located. Others were hanging out in their common rooms or exploring the outdoor grounds of the school, some in the Courtyard messing about, trying to do what little magic they knew how to do. Others were in the Great Hall. Which is where I was on my way to now. I went down there to get some breakfast. I spotted the Weasleys and Harry sitting at the Gryffindor table. I walked towards them. As I approached I overheard Harry say to Ron.
"I don't know where he is? I haven't seen him or heard about him"
"Mate, maybe McGonagall came to her senses and decided to kick the Ferret out before letting him in?"
"Hey where did the name Ferret come up for him again?" Harry asked.
"I'm gonna be honest, I haven't a clue." Ron finished.
They noticed my approach. I walked over next to Fred who greeted me. "Well good morning beautiful."
Since last night Fred had adopted many other names for me. Even if he wasn't very obviously flirting with me or using my first name unlike George, I would have been able to tell them apart based solely on how Fred's eyes told me all the plans he had for me.
I turned to him with a faux-shocked face. "Oh my goodness me oh my what a handsome gentlemen I didn't even see you there" I said in an annoying country bumpkin-ish voice that resembled a character I had liked from a childhood muggle show I used to watch. I then let my expression return to normal as I gave him a dumb smirk and rolled my eyes at the both of us. He put his arm around my waist gently. And I scooted a bit closer.
I pretended not to notice Ron's eyes droop slightly like a sad puppy. I felt slightly bad that he was watching me flirt with his older brother when he clearly was violently attracted to me from the moment he saw me, but I just didn't feel the vibe with him and quite frankly he never called dibs on me, or said anything. So yeah, sorry Ron. Not gonna feel bad for flirting with your hot brother in front of you. Also it had been just a day for God's sake. What a sap. What a wanker. Bloody wanker. I don't know how to use those words yet, but everyone here seems to love them.
Even Harry rolled his eyes at Ron, noticing his reaction, so I definitely didn't feel bad that he was clearly being deemed a drama queen by his best friend.
After breakfast I was walking the grounds with the other twins, Padma and Parvati. It was so nice to have Indian friends as I didn't have any back home. We spoke in Hindi as we searched for where our classrooms were. Suddenly after we had found our Defense Against the Dark Arts class we heard a deep voice shout in a strict voice behind us.
