I couldn't fall asleep. I slowly sat up to be met with silence. Sighing to myself, I lay back down. Pulling out my small charm I looked at it. A pale glow illuminating the symbols on it. 'What exactly do you do?'
I put the item back into my pocket. Closing my eyes, I just laid on the floor. Hearing Andrew gasp, I sat up and looked at him. "You ok?" I asked Andrew. She shuddered. "I..I think.." He looked spooked. Placing my hand on his I smiled softly. "You can talk to me when you need to." He moved to make space on the couch for me. Taking my spot next to him, I felt him fidget. Turning my head to look at him, I saw his eyes flicking from my lips, then away. Smiling softly I turned his head to me. "For someone who is so confident, you sure are shy." I teased. He blushed harshly, his face bright red. "I.. um." He couldn't get out any words. Taking the signs and the fact we have both been flirting like high schoolers. I leaned in closer. "Woukd you like a kiss?" I whispered. His eyes widened. "Y...Yes." He managed to say. I smiled and leaned in more. My lips meeting his. His body was stiff, but soon relaxed. Melting into the kiss. Soon breaking the kiss. He was looking at me with a lovestruck look. Smiling, I kiss his cheek before leaning back on the couch. After our kiss, we fell asleep quite quickly.Hearing Ashley whispering, I opened my eyes groggily. "Wha?" I said quietly. "Kill our parents." She whispered into her brothers ear. Andrew woke up and just glared at his sister. "What time is it?" Andrew asked. "Morning. Or night. It's still night-time." Ashley replied. Rubbing my eyes I sighed. "What do you want' you little creep?" Andrew asked. "To offer mom and dad to the demon." Ashley said enthusiastically. "Right now?" Andrews face was in a grimace. "Right now. While they're asleep. Well set the ritual and do it." Ashley replied. "I've given you both enough time to figure this out, yet you haven't." "Ashley, it's not up to me to kill your parents. If you both want your parents dead, fine. I'll help." I rolled my eyes. "Soo, now we're doing it my way." Ashley smiled. "....Okay." Andrew sighed. "Oh my. My efforts were far more effective than I thought!" Ashley cheered to herself. "Welcome back Andy."
"That's not it. But you have a point that mom might snitch on us. I knew that even before we got out of our apartment. I don't know why I let myself think anything else after talking to her..." Andrew explained himself. "It's because at your core, you're just a soft, gooey marshmallow. If it were t for me, all kinds of vile women would've gobbled you up already." Ashley smiled. While she was talking to Andrew, my eyes met his. Smiling at him I winked. I leaned over and bit his cheek. "Hahah! What are you doing??" Andrew laughed out. Ashley looked upset, but not as much as I would've thought. "A demonstration!" I smiled at him. He grabbed my head and smiled widely. "God, you're so fucking dumb. I should--" Andrew was cut off by the sound of a door. I layer on his lap quickly, whilst Ashley laid her head on my lap. "Andrew...? Are you still awake?" Mrs. Graves spoke. Thinking quickly, Andrew spoke. "Y-yeah. Why are you still up? I thought you had work tomorrow..." "I wanted to talk to you without Ashley." His mom spoke. "...It's not really a good time right now." Andrew grimaced. "Look, I know it's late. Bit this is important." His mother spoke firmly "I've been thinking things over, and I believe I owe you an explanation..."
"That's alright, I don't really need to know... I'm really tired..." Andrew looked to the side at both me and Ashley. Hearing her footsteps get closer as she spoke I pat Ashley's head. "Andrew, I understand if you're angry, but at least listen." His mother said annoyed. "The whole situation with Ashley was-- ....Oh." Looking at her I waved tiredly. "OHHHH! Go on, mom. Don't mind lil ol' me!" Ashley said with sarcastic innocent. All she could see was, I was laying on Andrews lap, and Ashley leaning on mine. It did look wrong to be honest. "..For the love of God, this had better not be what it looks like." Their mother looked pissed. Ashley moved and smiled at her mother. "Haha!! Whatever. How does this look to you?" I looked over and saw Ashley holding the gun. "W-where'd you get---??"
"What's it looking like now, mom?" Ashley pointed the gun at her. Both me and Andrew sad up completely, slowly standing. Whilst Ashley was distracted. I kissed Andrews cheek before standing. "A-ashley, c'mon..." Andrew spoke nervously. There was nothing to worry about. There weren't any bullets in that gun. But their mom didn't know. "Ashley...Put that away. There's no need for this..." Their mom spoke as she backed away slowly. "Be quiet and start walking." Ashley said plainly "We're going to the basement. And don't get any funny ideas, because I will shoot. You both go get rope or something. Im tying this bitch up. And don't kill dad." Sighing as they both made their way to the basement, Andrew and I looked at eachother. "Let's get this over with. Then WE can have a little alone time." I said winking at Andrew. His face flushed brightly and he nodded. Making our way to his parents room, we made sure to be quiet, so we wouldn't wake their dad. Opening the closet, I started going through their 'toys and found rope. Unfortunately, I made a noise on accident. Waking their father. Andrew quickly took control after his father was asking what he was doing gwith the rope. "..I was gonna tie up (Y/n).." Andrew fibbed. That's kinda kinky though. "Where your mother?" His father asked. "In the basement. She probably needs help." I replied quickly. Smiling softly. He sighed and got up fully leaving the room and going to the basement. Making our way behind him, Andrew pulled out his cleaver. While his father was asking what was happening, Andrew put the cleaver to his throat. "Andrew! W-weren't you supposed to be tying that girl up?" He asked shifting his eyes to me. "Just walk down! Slow and steady." Andrew said. Walking him down. I quickly tied him up. Looking around the basement to find something to tie their mom up with. I found some Christmas lights. Walking over to their mother, I tie her up next to her husband. "Alright, good. Now do you remember how to perform the ri--" Ashley was cut off by her brother. "Hold up. Mom, whats the pin for your credit card?" Andrew deadpanned at his mother. "Is this what this is about? Money?? You'd go this far just for a quick buck?" Their mother asked angrily. "What's the pin, and where's the card itself?" I asked calmly. I felt guilty sure, but this isn't my choice to make. Either way, that paper. That damn death certificate. It proves something was happening. After all...She answered Andrews calls even after it was given to her. "It's.. in my purse." She said looking away. She told us the pin as Andrew wrote it down. Taking the paper from Andrew, I smiled at them. "Okay. I'm gonna go try this now!" I said. "I don't trust you to not run away with the cash." Ashley huffed. I rolled my eyes. "Ash, seriously? Fine. Andrew. Come with me. Ashley, stay with them." Ashley seemed to agree. She is oddly ok with her brother going with me instead of staying. Huh, she must trust me a bit more than she is letting on. Both Me and Andrew made out way up the stairs. I grabbed their mom's purse and stole her card. Ashley came up, leaving her parents in the basement. While they were arguing, Ashley stopped and looked at me. "Listen, say anything and you're dead." Ashe huffed. "Pft, if anyone gets to kill me. It's gonna be myself. Besides I've kept quiet this long. And I like the both of you. It's not like I haven't kept quiet for you both before." I smiles , hinting at (redacted)s death. Ashley smiled and nodded. "Ok, be quick." She hugged us before going back to the basement. "She's grown attached to you now." Andrew sighed. "Hey, at least she won't be that pissed at me when she finds out I like you." I said throwing my arms behind my head. Andrew blushed and continued walking to an atm. While walking at flirting with eachother, I bumped into a woman. Sighing I turned around. "Sorry about that! I should really look where I am going!" I gave a faux laugh. The woman was about 20, she was skinny. Very skinny. Almost unnaturally thin. She was dressed in a plain white t-shirt, grayish blue shorts, black converse, and a light purple beanie. She seemed to be keeping her head down. I couldn't see her face. All she did was nod before petting a black cat. I smiled before waving and continuing the walk. Andrew sighed. "She was... odd." He shrugged. "To be fair, maybe she was like us. Locked away. She looks like she hasn't eaten in ages." I said looking back, to see her gone. Going to the atm, I placed the card into the machine before putting in the code. "How much?" I asked looking at him. "As much as physically possible." He sighed. Typing in $6,000 to start, it took a moment before showing an error. "What?" He asked. "It has a limit." I sighed. "And the limit is?" He asked. "It's $500." I replied. Taking the money we made out way back to the house. Kissing his cheek before going in. Both me and Andrew made our way down the stairs. Andrew scowling, while I just looked tired. "Andrew! Give us a hug!" Ashley smiled. "You have a draw limit on your card!" Andrew shouted. Ashley sighed. "I do?" His mom asked, confused. "You do! I could only get a couple hundred before it locked me out." Andrew huffed. "Hah! Suck it, bitch." His mom laughed. Sighing I grabbed the gun from Ashley. "Yeah? Well guess what, now we all get to witness the wonders of customer service." I said, rolling my eyes and waving the gun. "Get up. You have a call to make." I said while Andrew grabbed hi mother. Walking behind her I pressed the gun to her back. "Try to run, and I'll shoot you in the knees and let you bleed out." I said in a cold tone. I hate to hurt her, but she did this to herself. Taking her upstairs, I type in the number for customer service for her bank. Thankfully it just opened for the day. Putting it on speaker we wait. And wait. And wait.
And wait.And wait.
....And wait. And guess what. We wait some more!
Finally, after hours. We get ahold of someone. Motioning for her to speak with the gun. She talks with him for a moment. Before he speaks up. "I'm sorry, let me just confirm... you said you want me to remove the draw limit altogether?" "...That is what I said, yes." She replied. "Wow! That's crazy! What if your card gets stolen?" ".....Indeed. I'm not at all being held at gunpoint here." She said blankly.
Pressing the gun into her back, I glare at her. The guy started laughing loudly before speaking again. "Theeere we go! You're gold. Is there anything else I could help you with?" "Apparently not!" She said angerly. Before he could reply, I hung up. "Now it's back to the basement." I said pushing her to the stairs. Pushing her to the post again, I tie her up. :the card should be free now." I said smiling at them. Soon Ashley leaves with the card and I start drawing the runes in blood."Is she making you do this?"
"No."
"Are you going to kill us?"
"C"mon... Of course not."
"Then what is all this witchcraft looking nonsense?"
"Just let her scare you a little."
"We'll leave you alone after that. How about it?"
It was hard to tell if she believed us or not.
"There was something I tried to talk to you about earlier..." his mother said.
"We don't care, honestly." Andrew said as I rolled my eyes. "About Ashley..." his mother was talking slowly. "And what is it?" I asked looking into her eyes. "I wanted to apologize to Andrew. For always making you look after her. That was wrong of me." His mother flicked her eyes to her son. "It's fine..." Andrew said. "Can you imagine what it was like for me back then? When I was your age, I was already stuck with a seven, and five year old to care for... Think you'd have fared better than me?" As she spoke she made eye contact with her son. He showed no remorse for his mother. "I wouldn't know..." "This isn't an excuse, mond you. It's an explanation. I never hated you, I was just a fuck-up." She said looking away. "D-dont say that, honey! We did fine!!" Their father said. "Hah! So fine. Look where we are right now." His mother faked a laugh. "Anyway, you were such an easy child I thought we'd be just fine having another. I want counting on Ashley to be so-.... I'm sorry I made you raise her... I thought you were getting along, so I didn't see what was happening. And I apologize for that. It's all my fault. I apologize." She closes her eyes. She didn't seem to actually feel bad about him raising her. Just about how close he was to his sister. "Well it is what it is." Andrew replied. Sighing, I placed my hand on Andrews shoulder. "She has been backing off since I came along." I leaned onto him. His mother completely ignored me. "It doesn't have to be. I think we can still sort this out." His mother spoke. "Is that right?" Andrew looked at his mother. Moving my hand to hold it. "If it's money you need, I can help you get a job. They're hiring at your company, aren't they, love?" His mother spoke nervously towards her husband. "That's right! If I put in a good word for you, you're as good as hired!" His father spoke. "Be forwarded though, they get a lot of difficult customers there. But I know you can handle it. Should be easy after handling Ashley all this time. What do you say?" His mother spoke. This was up to Andrew. And him alone. "I.. I want to say yes.." Andrew crouched down. Hiding his face in his arms. "I really want to say yes. But I'm stuck. So stuck you couldn't even imagine.." standing up, he walks around lighting the candles. "You can get the gun from Ashley right?" His mother asked full of worry. "Andrew? Are you ok?"I asked worried. He didn't answer, he just hugged me. I pat his head and took the cleaver from him. "Go and sit upstairs ok? I'll watch them." He looked unsure until I pushed him to the stairs. Watching him walk up I looked at his parents. "Why are you helping them?" His mother asked. Crouching down to look at her, I sighed. "I like them, besides. We have no choice. We are dead after all... well at least according to the news and well." I made a motion and she caught on. "We could always have that fixed! We could get you your name back." She said quickly. Shaking my head I stood up. "I'm sorry. But I can't." Soon Andrew and Ashley came down the stairs. Ashley hugging me before Andrew walked up and hugged both of us. Smiling I nodded to Ashley. "Let's get this over with." I said. Soon the demon was summoned and his parents were dead. And apparently the demon knew of us from Ashley. And she also apparently eavesdropping on Andrew. They argued for a bit while I looked closely at their parents. "Guys. Their still breathing." I said with widened eyes.
