Christmas with the Norris family

December 7

Today was a special day, we were off to spend the whole day in the skiing slopes, I had my first competition of the season, I was in great shape and I was more than ready to smash it.

We woke up early that morning to prepare, Max, Lando's parents and lando himself was coming, Lando's mom Cisca promised us to bring food, I said we could eat in the cafeteria but she said it was nonsense and that I should eat real food before a day like this, so I listened, Max promised to bring my lucky stuffed bear and some snacks like a protein bar and a Red Bull, Lando asked what he needed to bring was and I told him "you only need to bring great hugs and soft lips" he smiled cause I knew he would forget whatever he needed to bring if he needed to bring something more than hugs and kisses.

I packed my stuff like extra clothes, helmet, ski boots and underlayer, my skis and slopes was already there, I left them there last practice so we didn't have to bring them again, Lando's car doesn't have much space for all my stuff, that McLaren isn't too big, I'm sure we wouldn't take the McLaren but you never know with little Lando Norris. We packed my stuff into the car and I sat down in the back seat with Lando and max, I was in the middle with Lando on my right side and max on my left. I put my head on Lando's shoulder and my hand curled up in his hand. "You'll do great, I love you" he whisper in my ear and I tilt my head to kiss him, when we do what Lando's dad whistle to tease us.

When we got there I met up with my trainer to do some warm up before my first run. I sat down in Lando's lap while waiting for my turn, we talked and I was starting to get nervous. Lando stood up and turned me around to kiss me. We kissed a few times before I put my head on his chest, he had his arms close around me and whispered comforting words in my ear, I took in his sent in my nose and immediately felt comfort, Max also stood up and hugged me "you will do great muppet" he whispered and I nodded, my trainer waved at me so I would go and hit the lift up to the top of the mountain we were skiing on, I got up with my trainer and we started to talk through our tactic one more time before I heard the signal say "Lucia Verstappen! The 23 year old Dutch girl" the commentator said and the signal counted down beep...beeep... BEEP!

I was on the run, I felt great, I was in high speed going down the slope, the people around was quiet and I saw everyone looking closely at me as I sped down the hill. I cross the line and see my time 1:06. Hm could have been better, I'm not too happy with my time, I only reach a 4 place on the board, I'm Lucky to have 2 more tries.

I ski away to Lando and the rest. "You were amazing!" Lando's mom said and I giggle "not too good, I should have been better" I say and click off my skis and sit down next to Lando who pulls me on his lap and kiss me. "You should know how panicked I was, I thought you were going to fall over" he giggle, I kiss him and giggle as well.

My next two runs was better but not enough, in the end I only reach 4th, I'm really not happy with it, this can ruin my championship. I click off my skis and throw my slopes at the ground. "Calm down Mrs. Verstappen" Max say and I don't listen, I walk to my trainer to ask what the hell was wrong " you did it perfect, the Italian girl was just faster" my trainer Josh say and I sigh and sit down on the ground.

Not long after Lando come up to me with a Red Bull in his hand "want this?" He say with a sweet tone and I nod. "Thanks"

He pull me up on my legs and bring me closer. "You did amazing Lu" he say and kiss my forehead. I shake my head and burry my head in his fluffy jacket. He put a finger on my chin and bring it up "yes you were, and I'm proud of you, I don't care if you didn't win, I'm proud anyways" he say while kissing my cheek.

After Lando's cute little therapy talk with me we go back home, me and max to our apartment and Lando's gang go to their apartment. The rest of the evening me and max spend together eating sushi and watching movies. He helped me recover from what in my thought was a bad competition. Not long after the last movie ended I went to sleep, I fell asleep on the phone with Lando.
