Only You

Chapter 9

Golden lights were hitting on the brunette's face which made him squirm in his sleep. He continued to sleep but couldn't ignore the shifting sounds of objects or whatever it was. He stretched his limbs and yawned, turned to his left just to witness his husband packing the clothes. Jeongguk blinked multiple times to adjust the vision and noticed that he was dressed well too. He couldn't understand what was happening early in the morning. 

" What are you doing?" He asked while sitting.

Taehyung responds nothing. He continued his task and zipped the suitcase just to shift his gaze to Jeongguk. The golden-haired male was staring at him like there was no tomorrow. The younger fellow moved uneasily under his gaze.

"What is it Taehyung? Why are you filling the bag? Where are you going ?'

"We."

"huh?"

"We are going.  I already stuffed your belongings too. So don't bother. Go and freshen up. I will go inform my parents."

" Why? Why so sudden? We are supposed to go tomorrow. Hmm....wait. Is it related to work? Something urgent came up from the office Tae?"

Taehyung glared at him and gritted his teeth. Jeongguk gulped and began to speak but before that, the older one began.

" Did I say something?" The brunette sealed his mouth immediately and went to the bathroom. He felt uneasy. Soon after he dressed up he went straight to the living room. There stood Mr and Mrs Kim hugging his husband. He proceeded towards them. Mrs Kim was the first one to notice his presence and delivered a smile.

" Hey ggukie, Tae said something came up so that you guys are leaving? Is that so?  I no longer believe this liar. " Jeongguk peeked at the golden-haired male just to see Taehyung ignoring him. He sighed.

"Yes Mom, That's true. He could not ignore that, since he is the head of the department. "

" Oh, that cannot help. We thought that we could spend some more time with you. But it's fine. But next time we will visit you." She darted to Taehyung. " Understood?" He scoffed.

" Yeah yeah"

" Come here, my boy."Mr Kim moved towards the younger one and hugged him. The brunette let out a breath and smiled.

" I'm gonna miss you too." He said while looking at the woman and patting his father-in-law's shoulder.

Both of them bid goodbye and went to the porch, was about to open the car doors.

" Is it that urgent, that you even skipped breakfast?" He couldn't hide but ask.

" Just get inside gguk." Saying that he got inside and waited for him. After peeking the house for one last time he got in the passenger seat. The car moved forward.

The silence throughout the entire ride was suffocating. They neither spoke a single word nor put music. So Jeongguk could even hear his breathing. He couldn't find enough courage to speak in the first place. Finally, their car was parked on the porch of the house. Even before the engine went off the younger one rushed outside the vehicle and got inside their house.

Reaching the kitchen he chugged down a glass of water. He then turned to the hallway to see his husband dragging the luggage. 

" I will make a brunch before you leave for  office."

" You don't have to. "

"Why not? I'm already gonna make it. Just wait a fe-"

"Jeongguk." The younger shut his lips.
