Mystery (Mechamato FF)

~ CHAPTER 1 ~

It was another normal peaceful day in Kota Hilir, except there were no evil robot attacks this time which made it such a peaceful day, actually. There hasn't been an evil robot attack in a week which was weird.

But of course, no one paid any attention to it since it was the weekend and they wanted to have fun, meanwhile some people did not have the same fate as them.

Amato, Pian, Mechabot and Deep were just hanging out at the park, playing some video games.

You win!

The narrator's game voice sounded, which made mechabot be really frustrated. This was his fourth time losing to deep!

"I won again! Dey, you said you'd treat me to some cendol" Deep says, bumping his shoulder to mechabot with a smug face.

Mechabot was about to yell back but stopped when the ground suddenly started shaking "W-what!? What's happening!?" Amato yells out in surprise, holding onto the bench as he tries balancing himself.

Everything abruptly stopped as the four of them tried to process what just happened, they looked around the park. It still looked pretty fine despite all that intense shaking.

"Eh? Why does everything still look in place?..." Pian asks, confused as to how not one object moved an inch from its spot. Now this was confusing, they all decided to go back home for now. It was almost night time anyways.

...

"Finally... Amato... I found you! This time, I'll make you mine..."

Come morning, amato awakes and looks around the room. The morning light slightly seeping in through the window and shining his face, there on the window was a... Blue chicken? Oh god, there it goes again

The chicken loudly yelled out which made mechabot awake with a startled yelp, falling off the bed and landing on the floor.

"Argh! Seriously, you again? Go away! Shoo shoo!" Amato says in a vain attempt to shoo the chicken away, he groaned and got up from bed. Oh. It was almost 7 am! He was gonna be late!

"Arghh!?? Why didn't my alarm sound!? I'll be lateeee!" Amato hurriedly got his towel and ran into the bathroom to get ready for school.

Mechabot was a robot - he didn't need to shower like stinky humans do so he just went downstairs first and ate some curry puffs while waiting for amato.

After 5 minutes, amato ran down the stairs and took one curry puff, stuffing it into his mouth before dragging mechabot out of the door "I'm going now! Assalamualaikum!"

Amato made mechabot mechanize with his bike to turn it into a motorcycle which he rode to school, upon arriving he parked it and took off his helmet.

About to run into the school when he was met with... Bula and Bili... God, why now? "Ah ah ah, amato! Where's our weekly lunch money?" Bula says.

Amato looked at Bula with a dumbfounded face "weekly lunch money? Since when!?"

"Haishh, since today lah. Now give it" amato backed up a bit but his back hit someone's chest. He turned to see someone - jet black hair, glasses, pretty tall, a boy. He had a pretty... unsettling smile.

"Sorry but I don't think that's appropriate here right now" The tall boy says, slightly looming over Bula.

Bula backs up a bit "This is business between me and Amato as friends, okay? What's it to you?"

The boy stops smiling and just stares at Bula. "Ugh!.. Fine, next week! We'll see you later... Amato" Bula and Bili ran off into school, amato was about to thank that person but they were suddenly gone. Huh?

Amato was now in class, for some reason Amato felt tired. Terribly tired, but weird enough he slept early last night so why was he feeling so tired all of a sudden?

Mechabot was just under his table, tapping on amato's shoes. Pian, mara, deep, everyone was here but none of them talked to him. But why? Why? Did he do something wrong perhaps? Did he-

"Good morning Mr. Jamie!" The class says in unison, amato, startled, quickly stood up as Mr. Jamie walked into the class eyeing him. Mr. Jamie instructed everyone to sit down as he had important news to tell everyone.

"We have a new student today!, Luther come on in and introduce yourself." Huh? A new student? Why so sudden? Amato didn't pay it any mind as the new student walked in, a boy, jet black hair and glasses.

The boy stood in front of the class and gave a confident smile to everyone, which made all of their eyes attached to him.

"Hello everyone, my name is Luther and I just recently moved here with my mom!" Luther introduces himself, but amato didn't pay much attention as he was blankly staring out the window or at the ceiling, when he turned his attention back to the front he was quite surprised to see that Luther was staring directly at him. Oh. It was the same boy from this morning...

"Now you guys can get to know each other some other time! Luther you can sit at the back over there. Now everyone turns to page 56!" Mr. Jamie yells as Luther moves to the back, not taking his eyes off amato. Amato felt weirded out by this he hadn't realized that Mr. Jamie was calling for him.

"AMATO!"

"AH!? YES!?" Amato yells out in surprise "WERE YOU PAYING ATTENTION?" Mr. Jamie asks harshly, and now amato was starting to have a headache from how loud it ringed in his ears.

And now, he couldn't find the words to answer like everything just died in his throat, everyone was staring at him as he tried his best to lift a smile and laugh it off.

Eventually, it ended up with him standing outside the classroom with his chair balanced on his head, of course, mechabot was also with him. His back was turned to the classroom window, he felt like someone was staring directly at him and was basically piercing him with their glare.

Then - in the corner, he freezes upon seeing glowing red eyes staring into his eyes, or more like staring into his soul. His eyes widened and he couldn't feel his body.

He could say something - who are you? - but no words came out, he felt like the world stopped for a second.
He was basically shaking now by how intense that thing's stare was. Then, closer... closer... Closer... The figure was -

RINGGGGGG !!

The bell sounded down the hall and amato blinked, now seeing that he figure was gone. Has that much time passed already?

Where was that thing?

What was that thing?

Amato was at the riverside staring into the water as he couldn't get his mind off of that thing that was staring at him. "Amato!" A voice resounded behind him, he definitely recognized the voice.

He turned around to see Pian just behind him "Ah, Pian, hey!" Amato greets him, Pian sits near Amato and they both start talking.

After a bit of talking, amato noticed that Pian looked a bit pale and was sweating a bit. "Hey Pian you okay?" Amato asks, to which Pian just nods it off.

"Yeah hurm... Just, I feel like someone's sending me death glares" Pian awkwardly says, amato looked behind Pian to see Luther staring directly at the pair which also made amato feel a bit of discomfort.

Luther got up from his seat and went on over to amato "Hey, your name's amato right? Nice to meet you."

Amato nods and looks down at Luther's extended hand to which amato took and shook his hand.

"Nice to meet you too!"
