I went back to work and tried to focus on it while I was also trying to get my shop out there. I was still shaken up about everything, why is he here? did he know that I was moving? is he following me? is he going to stalk me? so many questions to be answered but no one to answer them. I wish I could just forget the whole thing I don't want to have to move again, I've only been here for a few days, and I find myself liking it here, I won't allow him to scare me away, not this time I will defend myself from him and whoever else comes my way. While I was serving customers today there was a strange man in the shop, well not really strange but he seemed different from all the happy go-lucky people that I usually see in here, he seemed like he didn't belong here just like me.
"What is wrong with me he's just some dude I shouldn't be assuming things he just wants some coffee, calm down, stop being weird again"
I walk over to him and take his order, his voice was soft but at the same time he sounded dead and lost, it was strange to me everybody here seemed to be happy, but it didn't quite seem like he was. I took his order and walked away I kept thinking how such a cleaned-up guy could sound so lost and empty. But it is not my business, I gave him his coffee and didn't have another thought about him.
Atlas Pov:
It was a normal morning I got up and did my usual routine right before I left the house but instead of going to work, I decided to try a new coffee shop that was in town. I heard it was good for being newly opened. When I got to the shop there were quite a few people already there, I had to wait a few minutes before I could go in and find a seat, once I got in I found a nice spot by the window to finally do my writing. Lucky for me I got the owner to take my order, when I looked at him, I thought he looked sad, and he tried masking a happy face even though he clearly wasn't happy. I knew how he felt from my own experience. He spoke as if he's never had sleep in a while or was trying his hardest not to cry, it made me feel bad, but he took my order and walked away with a made-up smile.
Once I got my coffee I started writing, I had trouble working though, I couldn't help but feel bad about the owner he looked very sad and lost. I felt like I needed to help him but shouldn't because we don't even know each other, besides how could I help him I can't even help myself. I sat at the table for a few hours before I finally finished my writing and my coffee, before I left I looked back at the owner trying to see if I was mistaken of my thoughts, but when I looked back I was sadly correct, he still looked out of it even after all the customers he had, looks like we are having the same kind of day.
