The Paladin cut through the brutal, Siberian wind at the height of 12,000ft, the snow clouds gifting Fourth Echelon the perfect cover in the night sky. Ryker waded through the metal-grated hallways, finding the Grim, Sam, and Sarah stationed around the center table. Looking up from the 3D model of the base, Grim spoke, gesturing Briggs to move to give room to her newest agent.
Grim: Agent Viper. On-time as usual. Good.
Ryker made it to the table, giving a nod to Grim as Sam and Sarah both greeted him. Not willing to let the momentum drown, Grim continued to speak, pressing several buttons on a data pad and simply waiting to connect a line to the Red Spades.
Grim: The storm will give us sustainable cover. The base is built down the mountain line, with buildings stationed on top with platforms to the ground level. Five in total.
She zoomed the model in, pointing to different areas of interest.
Grim: You'll be aiming for Platform Three. Give a sitrep to the Spade captain, then wait. Our friends are going to infiltrate the top two buildings themselves through chopper insertion. Once they make it to the third building, you'll extract via chopper with their squad.
The screen lit up alongside the wall, revealing a Caucasian man with a buzzed head and dressed in arctic camouflage. From where he was sitting, it was more than obvious he was sitting in a helicopter. The mission was about to start within the hour.
Grim: Captain Watt North, did you get all of that?
He gave a confident nod.
North: Loud and clear. Four of my agents are on standby.
Grim: Excellent. My agent is adept at identifying the Syndicate's strategies and defenses. His com will be open the second he jumps off my plane.
The Spades Captain offered a smirk, raising his gaze at someone behind the screen before leaning forward to terminate the call.
North: Alright. We'll be landing in a half hour. The storm will hold for a couple more. Spades out.
Ryker spoke the second the screen went dark.
Viper: Since when did we work with the Red Spades, Grim?
Her dark eyes flicked to his as she leaned over the table, analyzing the 3D blueprint again and again.
Grim: We don't. They cut us a deal. Whatever intel they find is ours, all except for a terrorist cell named Radioactive. Also, they don't mention we're doing this. NATO would be a hornet's nest.
Sam: With that said, the Spades have evidence Radioactive may be working with the Masks. Any trace that suggests this, NATO will need to know about it.
Grim: Fifteen minutes, Ryker. Your suit will be able to take the cold. Let's just hope you are.
Viper: We can cram some hand warmers in the plating, right?
Collecting a smile from Sarah and an earpiece from Grim, Ryker took his leave to suit up. All joking aside, a hand warmer or two might be required.

Captain Watt North shut the laptop and stood up carefully in the shaking helicopter. The winds were not giving any favors for the stability of the flight. Lurching forward with the chopper, he took a seat with several others in his command. His lieutenant spoke first, his mild Australian accent just breaking through his helmet.V2: So, ya like the guy? I told ya he'd-
North: I didn't speak directly to him, Lieutenant. They're preparing just as we are.
V2: By sitting there and waiting? I coulda wrote a book about crocodiles by now... and the dangers of working for one.
John's laughter carried around the helicopter as Watt shook his head.
