Last christmas: a christmas special

-

In the heart of winter, the embrace of christmas. Duncan sat in the cold snow-covered bench, looking up. Seeing tiny snowflakes falling on the ground.

He stared at the night sky, zoning out in his lost thoughts.
Oh how he longed for that voice bossing him around, the essence of Courtney's presence that he sorely missed.

Memories flooded in his mind, all of the times with him and Courtney together.

It felt weird, the delinquent himself was going all soft.

His mind was full of memories of him and courtney, as he zoned out.

-

"Oops, your under the mistletoe. Guess you have to kiss me now." Duncan teased, holding a mistletoe above Courtney's head.'

Courtney rolled her eyes playfully, as she responded. "You did that on purpose, you ogre." She exclaimed, as a soft, and graceful smile came across her lips.

"Maybe, maybe not. But atleast I get to kiss you." He put on his usual grin, as courtney softly laughed.

The two's lips meet briefly, as it turned into a passionate kiss. Just right under their christmas tree.

A vivid scene of him teasing courtney, yet managing to share a passionate exchange beneath their christmas tree.

-

"Your really bad at making cookies.." courtney mumbled, looking at the burnt cookies duncan (tried) baking,

Duncan chuckled lowly, "stick to the one baking cookies for us, will you princess?" He said, wrapping his arms around her.

"Trust me, I will. Santa won't like burnt cookies, especially if it was made by an ogre," she joked, her smile returning.

Duncan wrapped his arms around her, smiling warmly.

"..Merry christmas, duncan."

"Merry christmas to you too, princess."

the failed attempt at baking cookies, as he held her close, exchanging wishes for a Merry Christmas.

-

Courtney turned around to be hit by a snowball, falling on the ground covered in snow.

The certain punk chuckled at her falling down, as he was obviously the one who threw the snowball at her.

Courtney got up, feeling the need to be competitive, "oh, it is on!" Courtney yelled, throwing a snowball right back at him.

The two continued having a competitive snowball fight, which courtney managed to win.

"Ha! I win!" Courtney said, proud of her win.

"Yeah yeah, next time I won't go so easy on you, princess." Duncan said, getting up.

"I would still win, either way."

A mischievous snowball fight, ending with a joyous competition ending with courtney's triumphant grin.
-

with a heavy heart, Duncan walked up to the engraved stone. Whispering words of love, and regret.

He promised to himself to keep her alive in his memories, and cherish every moment of them together.

"..fuck it, I'm going soft." Duncan whispered to himself, he couldn't help it. He stared at the grave before he turned away,

To honor their love, he walked away, carrying within him the warmth of their Christmas past, a silent vow to keep her alive in his memories.

He looked back at Courtney's grave one more time.

he had to accept it, that he will never spend another christmas with her ever again,

he had to accept that...

..she was long gone, and it was all because of a damn fucking car accident.
