Jennie was puzzled. Somi still came even after the rejection?
When Jennie saw her entering the ward, she immediately closed her eyes. She heard the faint sound of footsteps walking towards the window, she opened her eyes slightly.
Somi walked quietly to the sofa by the window and looked down at the sleeping Lisa. When she caught sight of his suit jacket resting on the back of the sofa, she gently removed it and carefully covered it for him.
After covering him with his jacket, Somi looked at him for a while before turning around and walking slowly to the bedside.
Jennie closed her eyes again. When she didn't hear any movement, she couldn't help but open her eyes slightly, only to see Somi still standing by the bed, staring at her with Somi's watery eyes that were filled with spirit energy.
To be honest, Jennie really didn't like the look in her eyes. Although it didn't seem like she had any ill intentions, she just didn't like it.
Jennie frowned and looked at Somi in silence. It was obvious that Somi knew that she had woken up. What was the meaning of her to look at Jennie like that?
"I came uninvited, please don't take offense." Somi leaned over with a smile and said in a low voice that only Jennie could hear.
Jennie also smiled at her and said in a soft voice, "No, not at all. Miss Jeon has personally come to visit and it is a great honor for me."
Somi smiled. "I came here secretly behind my grandfather's back. I came to see how severely injured you are. I can't help much, but I have a Pendant of Peace with me. I'll give it to you as a gift."
She took out a silver necklace from around her neck. The silver necklace was not big, it was only the size of a fingernail, but it looked very old. The engravings on it were still remarkably well-preserved.
"I hope you get well soon," Somi said softly, laying the necklace on the white table beside her bed.
"Thank you. I appreciate your kindness. As for the gift, I think it's better if you take it back." Jennie said sincerely as she looked at Somi's eyes, which did not have the slightest bit of malice in them.
"This is my gift to you." Somi tilted her head and gave her a slight smile before winking at her. "My grandfather still doesn't know that I sneaked out by myself. I need to go back quickly. Miss Kim, we'll meet again."
With that, she turned and left.
Silence returned to the ward once again. The only sound that could be heard was Lisa's steady and shallow breathing.
The necklace was placed on the table by her bed. Jennie wanted to get up and see the necklace, but she could not get up no matter what.
Since Somi's appearance was so sudden, Jennie had never treated her as an ordinary person. Moreover, her words at the welcoming banquet the other day seemed to be indifferent, and every word had a deep meaning.
Therefore, Jennie couldn't understand why Somi wanted to give this necklace to her. More and more questions popped up in her mind, like a cat's paw scratching her heart, causing her to be unable to lie down calmly.
Jennie used her arms to support her body. She was barely getting up before she fell back down.
After repeatedly trying for a long time, Jennie finally managed to the table. She stretched out her hand to touch the silver necklace, but just as she placed her hand on the table before she could touch it, she fell from the bed.
