Lola has been at her media company for quite some time now. Almost 4 years, and they know pretty much everything about her. So when they approached her with this deal to follow around the hottest pop it boy in the media right now, you can say she was pretty astonished. Not the fact they were able to get their hands on this deal, no, of course not.
The company was very much established on their own. Shooting the likes of Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Meryl Streep, and as well as a ton of the old pop stars and Hollywood actors back in the 90s and 2000s. The company had been around since the 70s, when wacky intricate fashion really hit the market. It's since established it's own style and celebrity clientele that they work with often.

So no, popularity of the client wasn't a surprise, neither was the fact they wanted to get involved with him. It was the fact that the client never had seem to done something like it.
K-pop artists usually only worked with the company for photo shoots, different styles of video shoots, or even a promotional video of them just for fashion week, not an up close and personal documentation of every minute of their life for a certain time.
Which was mostly Lola's style. She liked documenting the little things and little moments of big memories. So it wasn't even a thought who the job would go to. It's all Lola.
