Chapter One: Will of Fire

Konoha Redlight District - October 1, 2015 7:00 P.M.

Within the slums of Konoha, You can see a young blonde-haired boy with whisker marks on his face running for his life from a mob of villagers who were wielding various blades and weapons. This was Naruto who had a unique existence in this world.

"What did I ever do to you?!" Naruto screamed with tears rolling down as he ran as fast as he could, but he was already severely injured and was slowly losing pace.

'Sorry kit, the seal is still too strong at the moment. I can't help you. You have to keep going, remember your dream!' Kurama tells Naruto trying to reinvigorate the young boy, which was somewhat successful but the mob was still catching up.

'It is okay, Kurama. I think I'm ready to use that jutsu.' Naruto responds confidently

'Be careful, Kit. If you mess up this jutsu, your body can be lost in the void.' Kurama interjects in worry.

'I AM NARUTO UZUMAKI!! Son of the Fourth Hokage and the Red Hot Habanero. I can do at least this much.' Naruto thought as he began focusing on something before he suddenly disappeared away from the crowd leaving them confused.

"Where did he go?" said one of the villagers.

"I don't know, we should just go home before shinobi officers realize what's going on." Another villager said and shortly after they all went their separate ways.

Naruto's Apartment (Konoha Redlight District) - October 1, 2015 7:15 P.M.

Naruto suddenly appears back in his apartment. Naruto begins jumping up and down and screams "I finally used the Flying Raijin!!"

Naruto quickly remembers the mob that he just escaped and goes to fix his door which had been kicked in by the mob. Naruto was able to easily fix and reinforce the door. Naruto possesses a great gift for blacksmithing and crafting. Naruto then looked around the apartment which had been completely trashed but Naruto wasn't surprised this wasn't the first time the villagers had kicked in his door. Naruto goes into the bathroom to inspect his wounds in the mirror. He removes his tattered clothes revealing his body was scarred all over showing the boy has endured immense torment. His body was severely bruised, especially on his back as the mob was throwing rocks at him. Although he was faster than the crowd he was occasionally tagged by a rock. Naruto begins running a bath to try to relax and help his body recover. 'At least, I didn't get stabbed or shot this time. I consider that lucky.'

'Your definition of Lucky is quite disturbing.' Kurama states to Naruto which causes him to sweat drop.

'It's okay, students in the Shinobi Academy stay in the dormitory, so the villagers won't be able to reach and by the time I graduate, I'll be an untouchable badass shinobi.' Naruto responded with a cheeky grin.

'Don't get arrogant Naruto, that has been the downfall of even the greatest shinobi.' Kurama had been observing Naruto his whole life and could tell Naruto was a prodigy. He didn't want Naruto to become overconfident and sloppy and then lose his life in an avoidable situation.

'Yeah I know, You've told me the Madara story a thousand times. Anyways, I should call Sasuke. We were supposed to train today.' Naruto turns the water off before it overflows then grabs his phone. He goes to contact Sasuke, who was saved as Uchiha Jerk. Naruto calls him, but it eventually goes to voicemail. This startled Naruto because Sasuke usually always picks up the phone. Naruto starts recording the voicemail, "Hey Sasuke, are you okay? I know we were supposed to train today, but I got chased around by a mob. Give me a callback when you get the chance?"

Naruto sends a matching text before he hops in the bath.

Uchiha Clan District - October 1, 2015 7:15 P.M.

Sasuke had taken a nap, but his sleep was unfortunately interrupted by nearby screams of agony. Sasuke ran to his parent's room as that was the first thing he thought to do, but what he witnessed upon arriving at their room would have him questioning his entire existence. He saw the corpses of both of his parents lying before him and the killer was standing over them with a bloody katana, but the part that was destroying Sasuke mentally was that the killer was Sasuke's peace-loving older brother Itachi. Sasuke at that moment had unknowninging awakened his Sharingan. Sasuke was currently frozen in place within the doorway, but Itachi currently had his back turned towards him. Sasuke wouldn't stay frozen for long as he began weaving through hand signs. Sasuke then uses Fire Release: Fireball Jutsu to exhale a decent-sized ball of fire chakra towards Itachi. Sasuke then shoots off back into the hallway and he thinks 'That was just a distraction. As much as I want to kill him right now. I have the logic like a shinobi would and the difference in power between me and Itachi right now is day and night. I need to find a way to get away.'

Sasuke was approaching the end of the hallway meaning he would be directly by the staircase to the top floor and the front door, but he had a massive dilemma which was that Itachi was standing directly in front of the door which surprised Sasuke as he was just in his parents room. Sasuke switches his plan using the wall as a brace to launch himself towards the railings at the top of the stairs. He grabs the railing before landing gracefully at the top of the stairs. At the moment of landing, Sasuke notices Itachi's body breaking down into crows that are scattered in different directions, but he keeps the momentum shooting down the hallway. His goal was to make it to the only window on the top floor, but the moment he made it to the hallway where that window was located his heart dropped to the floor. Itachi was standing in front of his last hope.

Uchiha Clan District - October 1, 2015 7:20 P.M.
Naruto's POV

Initially, I was just coming to the Uchiha Clan District to check on Sasuke, but what I found was completely horrifying: the whole Uchiha clan had been massacred brutally. I also noticed that several members who seemed to be shinobi had their eyes removed from their faces. I'm currently racing towards Sasuke's house and I hope he is okay. I was jumping from rooftop to rooftop and when I got closer to his house I was able to sense Itachi and Sasuke's chakra signature. I made a mental note to do more training to improve my sensory jutsu.  Upon arriving instead of going through the door, I began flashing through hand signs. I then sent a blast of wind from his hand directly at the wall of the hallway where I sensed Sasuke.

The moment the attack hit destroying the wall, I heard Itachi say
"Tsukuyomi!"

I see Sasuke collapse to the floor so I race to catch him. The moment I grab him I begin trying to focus to pinpoint the location of the Flying Raijin marker at his apartment.

"What are you doing here, Naruto?" Itachi inquired but I ignored him as I was too focused. Itachi began approaching me but I was finally able to pinpoint the marker. I teleport both me and Sasuke back to my apartment. I'm still super confused on what is going on, but maybe Sasuke will be able to explain when he wakes up. I lay the unconscious Sasuke on my bed before I go to my couch, watching tv until I fall asleep.
