🟣 Realities

"Dad?" You said softly, looking up at him at the table.

"Do you think we can be father and daughter in every universe?" You asked.

You were 9, and you just learned about different universes and realities from your friend.

"Of course, sweetheart. We are always father and daughter in every universe. It doesn't matter where. It's what we are, and I'd do anything for you."

He looked at you with kind eyes and smiled. He took your hand and caressed it with his thumb.

"No matter which universe you go to, I love you so much and always will." he said.

You smiled cheekily.

"What if you're a... bear?" You teased. "You'd go against nature for a male bear to have a cub?"

"Well, in that universe, I'd be the father bear, of course!" he teased back.

"And I'd still love you. In fact, I would love you even more, because bears are one of my favorite animals." he said with a laugh.

You kept smiling.

"What if we were objects? Like a paper clip and a pencil?" You said cheekily.

"As long as you were my pencil, and I was your paper clip, it would be okay, right?" he asked with a smile.

"Then, I could erase your mistakes and you could help me hold stuff together. We'd be a great team." he said.

You nodded, agreeing. You turned your focus on your dinner.

"Yes, we would." You said softly.

"What else would we be in other universes?" You asked him curiously.

"Hmm." Kylo thought about it for a moment.

"How about... we would be dinosaurs? I would be a Tyrannosaurus Rex and you would be my little Triceratops. We would travel the world together and be best friends." he said.

Kylo smiled at you. "Would you like to be a dinosaur with me, sweetheart?"

You nodded, looking up at him again and smiled more.

"Yeah! And we could be... hmm... I don't know many other examples..."

"Don't worry, honey." he said.

"No matter where the universe takes us, we'll always find each other, and we'll always love each other. That I promise you."

Kylo held your hand and caressed it with his thumb again. He looked at you with a smile, knowing that in all his universes, you'd always be his little girl.
