Chapter 1

ADAM'S POV

I was getting ready to preform and Mia still was not here. Was she not coming? No she would have texted or called me. She is probably is running late.

"Shooting Star you are on in 10 minutes" the stage director said.

Just as I am about to grab my guitar I see a security guard fighting with a girl. I was about to ignore it, but when I saw the girl it was Kim. What is she doing here?

"Hey she can come in I know her!" I tell the security guard.

"Sorry about that Adam" he said.

"No problem." I say as Kim walks over to me. I notice her eyes are bloodshot. What's going on?

"Adam can I talk to u?" She ask.

"Sure do u wanna go outside? It is quieter." I say

"Yeah." She says and we walk outside.

"Kim, do u know why Mia is not here?" I ask

"Adam....the reason Mia is here is because there was an accident." She says while her voice was breaking.

"What do you mean there was an accident? Is Mia okay?" I ask scared and worried.

" This morning Mia and her family were in a car accident. They were driving to Willow and Henry's house and a truck slipped on ice and crashed into them." Kim said.

"Oh my god! Are they okay? Is Mia okay? Please tell me she is okay?!!" I say worried and panicked.

"Kat has to get surgery on her leg but she is going to survive. We spoke with her, she is in surgery right now along with Denny. Denny has to have surgery to get a metal piece out of his side. The doctor said he will survive. Teddy had it easy he was on the right side of the car he just broke his arm and a rib is bruised." She says

"Thank God!! But what about Mia??!!!" I say anxiously.

"Mia.... She had it the worst she was sitting right where the truck hit their car." Her voice shaking but continues. "She has internal bleeding and is in a coma. The doctors don't know if she is going to survive this."

"OMG Mia!! I need to see her!!! I will grab my keys and phone. We will drive there immediately?!!" I say with tears about to fall out of my eyes and I run into the dressing room. As I am running out of the building Liz spots me.

"Adam where are u going we have to perform in 2 minutes?!" She says.

"Can't do it. MIA IS IN THE HOSPITAL ALONG WITH HER FAMILY!!! I have to go!!" I say running to the car with Kim. Leaving my band looking surprised.

Once we get in we buckle in and we drive off to the hospital.
