It was the last train when it all started. Danielle, a young lady from a small village, was sitting on a bench, at the railway station while listening to one of her favourite songs.
So, before you go
Was there something I could've said
To make your heart beat better?......She kept listening to the song. She looked at the sky painted in black colour. She looked exhausted because she had been sitting there since the morning, but excitement and happiness were also written on her face.
'Why do you look so excited today?" She questioned the moon which was shining brightly in the sky.
"You are also waiting for her, just like I do." She questioned the moon again and chuckled as if it understood what she said.
"But see, she is too late." She said with a pout.
"I still remember the day she left me. It was five years ago." She started, and the flashback of the incident which occurred at this place, on the same day and five years ago, appeared in front of her.
It was a hectic morning as people were busy getting onto the train before its departure. In this noisy environment were two girls busy talking to each other. One was tall, whereas the other was a few inches shorter than the other. The shorter one was even holding luggage. In fact, the shorter one was trying to console the taller one.
"Her princess, don't cry! It's just five years. I'm not going there for my whole lifetime." The shorter one spoke to the taller one, who was none other than Danielle. This shorter one was her best friend, Rose.
"Hmmmm," Danielle murmured, and then Rose stood on her toes to approach Danielle's face and then she wiped off Danielle's tears from her palm. Danielle was crying because of ROSE. Rose has received a scholarship to complete her bachelor's degree at a university miles away from their village, and it would take her five years to finish it and come back. Hence, the two mango friends had to stay without each other for a long time. Danielle and Rose had known each other since they had known themselves. They went to school together, studied together, cried together, and laughed together that people would say, "You both do not suit each other." Why? Because their appearance was completely different from one to another. Danielle was tall and had long hair. But Rose was short and had short hair. Yet, deep inside, their thoughts were the same. Mainly, both were kind-hearted.
"I'm doing everything for her," Rose stated as tears brimmed in her eyes.
"And also you. So, I can buy enough food to feed that always-hungry monster in your tummy." The two giggled. Then, Rose entered the train but stopped at the entrance and looked back at Danielle. Danielle took it as an opportunity and shouted this.
"You must not come alone. You must come holding your degree." Rose nodded her head with a smile before going into her seat.
"Choo........" The last train for the day arrived at the station, snapping Danielle out of her thoughts. She got hyped. She scanned all the people, who got out of the train. But that familiar figure that she was looking for, didn't appear. She got nervous.
"Has she changed a lot to the point that I can't recognise her?"
"Has she forgotten me?" Danielle sank into her thoughts. In no time, a stranger wearing a good-looking suit appeared in front of her. She scanned him from top to bottom. He was holding a familiar luggage in one hand and a degree in the other hand.
"Where is she?" Yes, the luggage belonged to Rose and also that degree, but she was nowhere to be seen.
"You must be Danielle. Rose's friend. I'm one of her friends from her university. She has told us a lot about you. But I'm sorry!" Danielle's heart got the palpitations.
"She didn't make it. She got into an accident. Here are her belongings." Danielle was dumbfounded. Her heartbeat stopped for a while. She felt like the whole world collapsed on her shoulders. No tears formed in her eyes since she was furious at her friend, who said that she would come back in five years, and leave her forever. She had regret too for not being able to save her despite the fact that it was not her fault.
After the tragic news, she rushed to the hospital in the village where the person that Rose loved the most had been living all her life. It was her younger sister, Sakura. She was a heart patient. The reason why Rose went to the city was for this. To complete her studies while doing a part-time job and find money to cure her sister.
Danielle slowly approached Sakura, who was lying on a hospital bed, and then uttered her last words to Sakura.
"I couldn't save your sister, but I will save you. You were her world so I can do anything to save her world." Danielle always knew that her heart matched Sakura's one, but never donated it since she was too greedy to spend a happy life with Rose. But she finally thought to do it. She donated her heart to Sakura and saved Rose's world.

"Sister" a girl with a sweet voice spoke to another melancholy girl who was sitting on the bedroom floor weeping. The crying girl looked at the girl who spoke to her. Her face had turned tomato red from crying. She stood and approached the little girl. She then lifted her hand and kept it on the little girl's left chest.
"Danielle," She spoke shedding tears again.
"I'm sorry," She said.
"NO, I don't deserve to be called your best friend or I deserve an apology." yes, this was none other than Rose. This little girl was Sakura, Rose's sister whom Dannielle saved from donating her heart.
"I shouldn't have pranked you." Rose started.
"I shouldn't have done that to you. I didn't expect that it would go this far" Yes, it was all a prank. Rose wanted to prank Danielle with the e help of her university friend but she didn't expect that it would end up like this.
"But I'm grateful that you saved my sister. Please, do not forgive me." Rose said sobbing.
"Don't worry, sister! She is still living with us. This is her heart, not mine which means she is still living with us." The little girl, Sakura said and embraced her sister.
