I could barely sleep. From replaying in my head seeing her last night and thinking about how long until Turner shows up, sleep was so far out of the picture.

Really wouldn't be shocked if my face fell off from how much I've been rubbing it. Is this how people feel waking up to work everyday? After this job I'm vowing to never work a nine to five again.

Coffee didn't even put a dent into waking me up and I'm starting to think I'll need a glass of whiskey.

"Goodmorning Sammie, isn't it beautiful today, the sun is out and the brids are chirpping." Victoria sings next to me.

Fuck the whiskey I'm going to need tequila to survive.

Victoria still wouldn't stop talking, it's been five minutes of non-stop chatting, I'm surprised her batteries haven't died yet.

"Oh my God, how could I forget." She smacks me on the arm playfully but it just makes me wish for strong liqour even more.

"I hired a new employee this morning before you're shift started, actually you literally just missed her. She's going to be working with you, starting tomorrow - her name is Cassie." The urge to tell her that I don't give a fuck is weighing on my tounge - just four more days of this until Turner rears his face around here. I tried to muster up some emotion to make her think I'm intreseted.

"Oh that's cool, how old is she?" I mean I don't care but the last thing I need on my plate right now is a teenage girl who just works to get the latest Iphone and annoys the crap out of me.

"Wow already seeking out new blood, I thought I was the only girl for you, Sammie bear." Victoria smirked when she said that but after seeing my face she quickly changed that. She awkwardly chuckles and pushes her hair into her face to hide the obvious red cheeks.

"Uh Cassie is twenty one." Could be worse, I internally shrugged. Victoria sprints into her office and closes the door, guess I embarssed her.

What a shame.

The day went along pretty fast besides the five minutes of Victoria talking that felt like forever, any chance she got away from the office phone she spent next to me.

Literally nothing eventful happened besides comig home to see my maid, Robin, had gone grocery shopping for me.

I decided to cook crumbed fish with a broccoli and watermelon salad. I flicked the oven to the approprate temperature and started on crumbing the nice pieces of snapper Robin got for me.

After that was done, I chopped up the broccoli to boil, picking other bits to put in the salad like lettice and tomato as well as the nessasary seasoning. Lastly slicing up the watermelon to place on top of the fresh salad.

My mother taught me to cook from the day I could pick up a knife wheras my father wanted me to use a knife for other purposes, I loved cooking with my mother, she always taught me how to cook just right for when I get a wife - to prepare meals and most importantly make everything with love.

My parents were old fashion in their ideas for me, to marry young with a smart girl who will provide them with grandchildren but that was not my future; my mother was upset when I enlisted into the army but she understood it was what I needed to do to start my life.

I cleaned up all the dishes, not wanting to leave Robin with a huge mess and headed up to bed.

I slept much better than the night before and weirdly enough woke up energized for the day. I headed into Palmer's with a smile on my face, one of the kids working here, Luke I think, loked at me like I had grown another head.
