A well known ancient space fortress now used as a Independent Habitat Complex almost at the size of a large Moon.
It is a station that connects between the Orion and Sagittarius Arms of the Milky Way Galaxy. It had a population of 1 billion, they are considered an armed state and a vital point for trade within the Galactic South.
There are many myths about the station and it's existance, with one more officially well known was that it stood guard for an Ancient Empire's Colonies as it held 4 Gates that helps with instantaneous travel to North, West, East and South. But beyond that, those who tried to conquer the Fortress have never won in the million years recorded history.
In particular a prestigious event was taking center stage and the mood within the Habitat Complex was quite festive. The Lilyan Federation has sent it's newest fleet, Midnight Fleet.

And at center stage was the 5 newest Battleships they have developed. A warship carrying 2 Mega Caliber Plasma Double Gun Turrets at the bow with one gun enough to sink a State of the Art Destroyer in one shot.
The vessel was becoming ever so popular due to the Federation's Propaganda campaign of showcasing it's fleet towards the Galaxy through Gunboat Diplomacy.
It is largely a success. It's capability to project it's power was taken note of even by Fallen Empires. Entering the docks a large procession took place. Welcoming their guess and as well for the public to take images of the famous vessels.
Within one of the control rooms, a Junior worker was sat down envying the people with free time as he read upon the radars of the territory.
He stared at the 3 dimensional screen showcasing the Fortress Complex with a fleet of 321 Vessels marked as registered to the Lilyan Federation.
He sighed deeply. At this very moment he wished he could see the vessels that have popped up in his community forums.
As he watched the glass window where a Cruiser Type vessel was most prominent. A strange noise came to his ears.
It sounded cackling at first but soon the clear distinction of a noise from an oncoming ship came to his ears and immediately he followed protocol for vessels with no appointments.
"This is Independent Fortress Station Harmony. State your Identity and Intention or we will open fire!" He threatened over the comms.
He waited for a response. Yet strangely there was none. He checked his equipment to make sure he didn't screw up and repeated what he had conveyed moments earlier and yet again there were no response.
"This is Watchtower 15 An unidentified vessel is approaching from the Galactic SouthEast. Unknown Intention, Code Blue."
After relaying standard procedures. He shrank back to his seat as he wondered why Pirates are even interested in taking this place over.
