So, several days passed between the euphoria of his victory and the weight of the responsibility that now rested on Vikkock's shoulders. The young waterbending master was in the council room, observing the solemn atmosphere as he prepared for his first official meeting with the elders and his father, Chief Arnook.

The air was charged with seriousness, with the elders seated in a circle, discussing topics ranging from the tribe's security to the state of the food reserves. Vikkock, in his new position, felt both honored and overwhelmed by the responsibility he had acquired with his title of master.

Vikkock, as the newly named waterbending master, was more in a position of observation and active listening than of leadership. Seated among the elders and his father, Chief Arnook, he remained attentive, absorbing the discussions and decisions made by the counselors.

His presence at the meeting was more as an introduction to the decision-making process, allowing him to understand the dynamics of the council, the priority issues and the perspectives of the elders. Although he could share some ideas, his interventions were more thoughtful and cautious, recognizing his newly acquired position and the need to learn from the experiences of those who had been contributing to the government of the tribe for years.

Vikkock strived to assimilate the information and opinions expressed, seeking to understand the diversity of approaches and needs of the community. This first encounter was crucial for his development as a future leader, allowing him to know the internal workings of decision making and gain perspective on the challenges and priorities of his people.

The great meeting hall was filled with the main leaders and masters of the tribe. Chief Arnook presided over the table, with his usual stern expression. On his right was the veteran Master Pakku, on the left the healer Yugoda. The other senior officials occupied their positions."Well, let's start this council meeting," Arnook spoke. "We have several points to discuss regarding the defense, logistics and government of our tribe. But first, I want to formally welcome our new member, young Master Vikkock."All eyes fell on Vikkock, who was sitting next to Pakku. He looked nervous and excited in equal parts to be there.

"Vikkock has already amply demonstrated his talent and determination by defeating our most experienced master in combat," the chief continued. "With his rise to waterbending master he has earned a seat on this council. We will be attentive to his opinions, although initially he will have a role more of observation and learning in political matters."Vikkock nodded, pleased to be given that opportunity. Then Arnook yielded the floor to the defense minister, Master Wei.

"My scouts on the edge of the Frozen Pass report increasing activity from Fire Nation ships," Wei warned. "I foresee that they may attempt to cross the Pass in the next few months. We must reinforce our inner walls and review their system of canals, floodgates, aqueducts and blocking mechanisms. Those are the main lines of defense for the city."

As Wei explained the military situation, Vikkock listened attentively. He found it hard to follow some more complex discussions about logistics or internal legislation in which Uqalik, Yugoda and others participated.

At one point, Pakku turned to whisper to him, "All in due time, young master. You will yet learn the ins and outs of leading a tribe. For now, focus your energies on continuing to perfect your combat skills. That is the best contribution you can make."
