Chapter 9

Priyank's POV

There was a huge fight in my living room. Sarah came to my apartment, I don't know how she got my address, but her entry made things a little messy too, because Anika, Akisha, Ayush and Kavya were also present there.

Sarah once again threatened Ayush, like she did to me in college, but this time Anika gave her a good time. I was quietly listening to their threats and shouting from behind because I was feeling dizzy. She called me every day for a week, made her presence known in my life once again. Just when I was starting to heal, she had to come back. I don't know when I collapsed, but when I woke up, the first thing I saw was Anika's worried face. She was holding my hand, just then her one sentence came to my mind.

'Priyank in only mine and no one can snatch him away from me.'

After listening to this line, I wanted to dance so badly but the situation was not right, so my heart did a happy dance inside the ribcage only. She called everyone in and left to get our dinner, so it was just me and Ayush left.

"How did she know this address?" He asked, I also don't know cause no one knew about this except my family and close friends.

"I did some research, and I got to know that Tyler inherited his father's company of press media. It might be possible that he sent her." I said.

"Tyler has always been a jerk." Ayush said, Anika, Akisha and Kavya came carrying plates for everyone. Akisha handed one to Ayush, Anika handed me one and Kavya just sat down on floor cross legged.

"Hey sit on the couch." I said to her but instead of getting up, Anika and Akisha too joined her.

I gave them a confusing look.

"What? It's nothing special, we just like to sit like this, it has become a habit from sitting in dance studios for hours for this princess to finish her practice." Kavya said.

I knew that Akisha used to dance in her high school and she was pretty good in it, but I don't know why she quit it.

Anika was glancing at me from time to time. Soon, everyone was done, dinner was great, full of laughter, jokes and sassy comments from everyone.

Everyone started to leave, but I didn't wanted to Anika to leave yet. I wanted to talk to her and tell her everything about Sarah, that there was nothing going around between me and her.

"Can't you stay tonight?" I asked holding her wrist preventing her from leaving.

"Yeah Anika, you should stay here tonight." Akisha said.

"Tomorrow is Sunday, it won't be a problem of office." Kavya said. They both are really great friends, I announce that.

"Okay, I will stay." she said, she started to move but I didn't leave her wrist.

"I am just going to see them off." She said slowly and I loosened her wrist. She came back after 5 mins and sat on the couch in my room.

"You wanna talk?" She asked.

"You wanna listen?" I asked back.

"Always ready to." She said, I patted a seat beside me on bed and she came and sat with me on bed.

"Me and Ayush are best friends from college, and there was a guy named Tyler, who was my friend, or I thought he was. So, me and Sarah started dating in first year on college only, as you know I was always the privileged one according to them, I was rich and everyone wanted to be my friend. I loved Sarah with my whole heart, cause she was my first love and then one day I saw her with Tyler at farewell party in third year. Their affair had been going on for two years and I didn't notice anything, whenever Ayush said that there was something suspicious, I always brushed him off. I trusted her and used to tell her everything, I told him about Ayush's parent's and how he was so disturbed with everything at that time. I told her about my father's company and new products. And then one day, there was this huge article on one newspaper about Papa's company, they wrote all sort of thing in that, which could have been used against my family and company. When I confronted Sarah, she threatened me to spill Ayush's secret too. I knew it would deeply hurt Ayush, so I just kept quiet about everything. Later I found out that, that newspapers belonged to Tyler's dad's press. They both betrayed me, my closest ones did that to me. After that, it was always just me and Ayush in everything, he is the closest person to me."
