Beyond Obsession - {Yunjin + Chaewon}

001, "Nowhere To Run."

- Reader's POV -

Yunjin found herself in the familiar space of her school's now dark corridors. It was empty but yet there was something.. Or rather someone chasing her like a ghost in the shadows. She didn't know and rather wouldn't want to find out what was chasing her. She didn't dare to turn around or even somewhat slow down by stopping for even a few seconds.

She was running.

She was running for her life.

Her breathing was ragged and uneven and she felt the familiar burn in her throat signifying she was pushing her limits. A little more.. She had to keep going for a little longer. She couldn't stop now when she was so close to the school's exit. But her body seemed to not cooperate with her mind and she stopped. Wheezing and gasping for breath.

She looked down..

And at the palm of her hand was a dark crimson color and some of it had been dripping onto the marble floor. Panic surged through her as she realized the gravity of her situation. The dim light revealed a gash on her palm. But that wasn't even the worst part... Someone was singing.. a haunting melody that echoed through the silent corridors, sending shivers down Yunjin's spine.

"This might get a little messy, I'm sure~ Heads rolling for the one I adore. This may become a little brutal if I'm honest. But it's any-anything for you my dear, I promise~"

In the eerie silence, Yunjin's heart pounded, matching the rhythm of the haunting melody. The words echoed through the corridor, creating a chilling atmosphere. Yunjin gulped and her feet started moving by themselves again she was running, running faster than ever!— Sprinting and she was sure her blood was dripping everywhere.

The thing chasing her would surely be able to track her down in no time if she tried to hide, so hiding wasn't possible for the poor girl.  The footsteps behind her were pretty fast. Too fast for Yunjin's liking. She could feel her lungs burning up and her body aching as she continued to run. "Why is it so far away..!!" She cried in her head.

As she rounded the corner, she tripped over a loose tile on the floor. The sudden motion caused her to tumble over, scraping her knee and elbow. A hand grasped her ankle and pulled her back, preventing her from escaping. Yunjin turned around and faced her attacker, revealing her to be a...

Dark haired girl..?

She had a sweet smile on her face, which contrasted with her blood stained hands and uniform. Her eyes were filled with a certain glint of insanity, yet somehow, they still held a softness in them. She was definitely crazy. She was batshit crazy and she knew it. She didn't try to deny it or hide it.

The insane girl giggled, the sound echoing off the empty hallways. "You should know by now that I can't let you escape," She said in a playful tone.
Yunjin was paralyzed, unable to speak.

Her eyes were wide with fear, her breathing was heavy and uneven. The dark haired girl slowly approached her, holding out her bloodied hand. "Don't worry, I won't hurt you too much, my dearest Yunjin~"

Yunjin used her hands to crawl backwards, away from the girl. Her breathing grew heavier and more panicked as the dark haired girl advanced closer.
"P-Please.. S-Stop...!" Yunjin whimpered, her voice trembling. Suddenly the black haired girl was in between her legs, hovering over her. "My my, look at you. How cute~"

Yunjin was crying at this point. She didn't want to die..! "I don't have much time, my dearest Yunjin," The dark-haired girl sighed. "We can do this the easy way or the hard way, which one is up to you."
