Confrontation And Backstories

It was lunch time, Junior usually sat with his friends at the lunch table, that included Penelope.

Junior realized that if Penelope really was in danger he needed to do something as soon as possible.

So Junior decided to bite the bullet.

"Hey, Penelope. Can we go talk in private?"

Penelope looked at Junior, an expression painted on her face that was mixed with worry and confusion.

"Um ok."

The two left the cafeteria and went into the hallway.

After seeing that nobody was there, Junior said. "Hey um, Penelope. Listen, I saw you this morning with your dad and heard all. I just wanted to know, was going on back there?"

Penelope's eyes widened. 'He saw that?!' She thought.

She didn't want her life to be exposed like this, sure, Brooklyn was a shit "father" but still, she didn't want to risk CPS coming after them and all the horrors that might happen, like her and her siblings being separated in the foster care system, or her dad being even more pissed off from it.

Maybe Karen could adopt her and her, her little siblings, and the baby on the way could all live together, but Karen was a stay at home mom so she didn't really make any money so she couldn't afford it.

Penelope's eyes furrowed a little and she got defensive. "Wait, you were stalking me?"

Junior was a little taken aback and quickly defended himself. "Wh-what?? No I was just outside and overheard everything."

Penelope then yelled. "Well forget about what you saw! Cause I'm fine!"

Penelope, with angry tears in her eyes stormed off, running towards the girls bathroom.

Junior, standing there, thought. 'Well I just screwed up.' He just wanted to help, especially since he also had an abusive father.

When Junior was born, his mother didn't want him and left, Braxton, his biological father, was left as a single dad to take care of Junior. He openly resented Junior since he was a mistake and a reminder of his ex girlfriend.

However when Junior was five, Braxton began dating Fernando, better known as Chef Pee Pee, he actually treated Junior way better and Kinder then Braxton ever had, and when Junior was seven Braxton and Fernando tied the knot and got married instantly after gay marriage was legalized in Florida.

And also when Junior was seven, Fernando gave birth to Junior's little sister, Roxy, Fernando is a trans man who at the time hadn't gone through bottom surgery so that's how he had gotten pregnant in the first place.

Well, Braxton was still abusive to Junior and was also the same way with Roxy and Fernando, for the longest time Fernando didn't divorce him because a part of him still loved his husband and believed that he could've changed him.

However, one day, when Junior was twelve, and Roxy was five, it was the final straw for Fernando and made him realize people like Braxton aren't going to change.

On this day in particular, he had found Junior in his room, with marks around his neck and unconscious.

He of course rushed him to the hospital and found that Braxton nearly strangled the boy to death with a chord in a fit of rage. Needless to say Fernando legally adopted Junior, put Braxton in prison, divorced him and they've been a somewhat happy family since, especially since they've all been to therapy, three years later and they're all there for each other.
