Chapter 6

"Who are the Karai?" Sarah asked
"They are beings of darkness that posses people and feed of feelings of loneliness, hatred and loathing." Kiarae replied.
"Oh" was all she could manage "So that's why she is all evilly and stuff"
"Pretty much she causes most of the strife on your planet WW1, WW2 etcetera etcetera"
"You said the Cari"
"Karai" she corrected
"Whatever, use negative feelings to control their host's where did that come from with Ever"
"She was banished for something she didn't do"
"What did they think she did?"
"They thought that she was allied with the Karai"
"How?"
"The Karai attempted to invade and she was accused of weakening the shields" she paused "You know it would be better just to show you" before Sarah had a chance to reply Kiarae waved a hand in front of her face and she passed out.

Sarah opened her eyes to find herself a ghost in a golden palace. She almost screamed at life for being so unfair and herself being trusting enough to get herself killed, but then Kiarae appeared next to her.
"What is this place"
"The past" she said simply "To be more specific my sister's trial" Looking towards where Kiarae was pointing and saw a Djinn shackled with black chain being dragged in.
"Who is that?"
"Ever" the Djinn didn't look like Ever instead of the black and silver she was golden and blue.
"But she looks so different"
"That is what happens when you are turned" She was thrown down onto the stone floor.
"You, Ever have been accused of aiding the Enemy is this true"
"It is not" she replied through a hoarse voice
"We shall call witnesses to speak" said a man on the golden throne at the back. Another Djinn stepped up to the speaking platform but this one seemed different from the rest. She looked at the king innocently.
"I saw this piece of filth using her magic to weaken the barrier that protects us" the rest of the trial blurred together with the girl's words still ringing in her ears. Finally something broke through her stupor.
"You are hereby sentenced to live the rest of your life on earth" Ever's eyes went wide then hardened. The king raised a hand and she got tossed through a golden portal. Then the doors burst open.
"Wait I have new e-evidence" a younger Kiarae faltered and dropped to her knees when she saw the swirling portal. Turning towards the first speaker she started yelling at her.
"You did this, you had her sent to Earth" The Djinn's eyes clouded black
"Why of course sweet and now I collect my prize" Everyone stared in shock as black most seeped from her body and zoomed through the portal to an unsuspecting Ever. The girl crumpled, Kiarae raced towards the portal but the swirling golden hole snapped shut. The world became black once more.

When she came too Kiarae was crying silently, tears streaming down her face.
"We can't bring her back" it was so quiet Sarah had to strain her ears to hear, but she heard to next one loud and clear "Only you can"
