[A/N]: !! THIS CHAPTER IS BEING REVISED !!

When she said the first day is the longest the little old secretary was more than right. My day just started and I have already been through more than the average new kid. I definitely deserve a nap after school. Opening my locker took me a little longer than I'm willing to admit. But after opening it, I began my next mission: find my first hour.

I was in no way exaggerating earlier when I said this new school was massive. It is a pain to navigate through. I completed my mission of finding my first hour (which is boring Algebra by the way) but I was about 10 minutes late because I may or may not have gotten lost. For my next three hours I was late for the same reason. Who was the genius who designed the building and decided to make it one giant maze? But getting lost wasn't the worst part. The worst part was the awkwardness of walking into class late and everyone stoping to look at you. My social awkwardness was already at an all time high, and I didn't need it to get any worse. But thankfully I did end up surviving to lunch.

The good thing about lunch is that there is no way I could possibly get lost. Kali was didn't get lost trying to find the cafeteria in this monstrosity of a school. It was conveniently down the hall from my fourth period class. I filed my way to the cafeteria like the rest of these ravenous high schoolers trying to get a bite before taking on the rest of the day. I was almost to the cafeteria doors, the smell of the school lunch was right under my nose when i'm suddenly tugged backwards. I had no clue who this person was pulling me towards them but i prepared for the worse. Was this 22 coming for his revenge?

"Please don't hurt me! I-I swear it was an accident" I exclaimed, my arms up against face not wanting to look at the demon in the face.

"Lachlan," the demon chuckled. "What are you talking about?"

I moved my arms away so I could see. "K-Kali?!"

"Yeah.. who else do you think it was?" She asked confused.

"22." I whispered, tugging at my sleeve.

"You're an idiot" she laughed. "Aaron wouldn't even think about touching you after my little threat, trust me." She gave me a menacing smirk before dropping it.

"Uh.. okay" I said with a nervous laugh. I'm seriously wondering what dirt Kali has on 22. Should I even care enough to ask?

"Let's go Lachlan I have some people I'd like you to meet." She said, motioning me to follow her.

I gulped. "Uh.. If you haven't noticed I'm uh not the best at meeting new people." I said tugging at my shirt again. A habit I have to break.

"Don't worry they don't bite. Well, Sam might... but I think you'll be fine." she said and I don't think she was kidding. Mental note: Don't piss off Sam.

We joined the lunch line. When we got up to the front to get a tray I was waiting to see the different kinds of slop they prepared for us. Back in Denver my Junior High had the worst food. There were rumors that some kid found a toenail and hair clippings mixed in with his macaroni and "cheese".

"What would you like sweetie?" the first lunch lady asked. I looked down the array of things to choose from. This wasn't slop, this was ACTUAL food, good job Cincinnati!

I ended up getting a salad, a water, and chocolate chip cookie. Kali walked me over to her table. It was such an odd choice for a table. The cafeteria had two stories. The ground floor was open and where you got your food. Two sets of stairs parallel to each other led to the second story which had a balcony overlooking the ground floor. Kali's preferred table was this circular table with six chairs under the stairs. Three of the six chairs were occupied by two girls and a guy. Kali sat first, I followed.

"Guys, this is Lachlan. He's the new kid who ran into Aaron earlier." she said and I cringed, realizing that being the new kid that bumped into 22 was what I'd be known for.

"Oh my god, that was you? I'm so sorry you had to come into the least bit of contact with him. He's terrible." The girl across me said. She had strawberry blonde hair, and looked about a grade above me, two at the most. She wore a blue dress and heels, she looks seems nothing like a person i'd imagine Kali would be friends with.

"Uh yeah, that was m-me" I said my eyes looking straight down at the green of my salad.

"Awe you're shy, how cute" she said. "But you don't need to be with me, I'm Emma, the sister of the asshole you bumped into." she said, extending her hand, I shook it.

"That must be uh, good I guess." i said, obviously tongue tied, not knowing what to say.

"Good" she laughed. "I wish! Living with him is hell. He a spoiled little- UGH! I just hate him so much" she exhaled. "Sorry i just don't like him, yeah he's my brother but he's a dick." I sat there looking at her with huge eyes.

"Well then, thanks Em for that drama. You totally scared him shitless, chill"  Kali says. "Anyway, Lachlan this is Sam" she said pointing to the girl next to Emma.

"Hi Sam" I said quietly. When Kali said that she might bite she wasn't lying. Sam looked like she could kill you with a glare. Her pigtails were french braided and she had a cold look on her face but she was beautiful. She had a small bruise her arm and she wore a wrestling team shirt.

"Hey" she said. "If Aaron is giving you a hard tell me, I'll whoop his tiny white ass, again."

"Th-thanks" was all I could say.  After Sam introduced herself one person was left, the other boy at the table.

"And last but most definitely not least." She said pointing at the boy.

"I'm Tyler." The boy said, his voice deep. He had dirty blonde hair and blue eyes. He had a quiet vibe to him. Not the creepy quiet vibe you get from a serial killer but the quiet vibe from someone who's very observant. He was hot, I'd got to admit.

I gave him a half smile and a wave.

"Now that you met the gang let's eat!" Kali said grabbing her sub.

The four of us chatted all of lunch. Kali cracked some jokes and Em laughed at every single one, even the ones that weren't funny. Sam turned out to be nothing like her image portrays her to be. She was actually really nice to me, which by the looks of her she didn't seem like that kind of person. Tyler and I made a lot of weird eye contact. He seemed to just stare at me most of lunch. When it ended the four of us said goodbye and went our separate ways for class.

I was leaving the cafeteria to begin my 10 minute journey of finding my next class. I pulled my schedule out of my right pocket, unfolded it and looked for 5th hour. Algebra [Room 521]. I had no idea how to get to Room 521 and I didn't want to ask for help.

"Lachlan! Wait up!" Someone yelled. I turn around and saw Tyler walking up to me.

"H-hi" I said, obviously nervous to be talking to a boy,

"Hey, need any help getting to 5th hour?" He asked. I did need help but I didn't want to say anything because that meant I had to make conversation with a random dude. But I ended up saying yes.

"Y-yes" I said looking down at the floor tugging at my sleeve, Tyler smiled.

"Let me see your schedule" He said. I handed it to him. "521. Algebra?" he asked.

"Yep" I said.

"I had the same room for algebra freshman year, I'll take you there" he said, smiling,

Thanks to Tyler I made it to a class in time. He was nice and funny, and not quiet at all, like he was at lunch. The day so far wasn't too bad, but that can all change since I still had two hours I had to get through, hopefully they don't suck.
