CHAPTER 9

"Ano bang sinabi ko sainyo ha?!"

The prosecutor was so worked up and mad after knowing what happened on our task, I mean I couldn't also blame my friends to act like that dahil alam naman nating lahat na hindi pa kaming lahat nakakapag adjust fully to this kind of crisis that is currently happening right now

And alam ko rin naman na hindi lang kami ang may kasalanan don kanina. Those other people that was told to protect us is sila pa yung naunang tumakbo at nag kagulo so of course matatakot kaming lahat at mag kakagulo na rin sa ganong sitwasyon because wala na yung inaasahan namin na proprotekta saamin. They let us down and almost be killed also

"Nalagasan tayo ng sobrang dami dahil lang sa iisang ghouls ha?! At kayo halos mamatay na rin kayo kanina dahil sa kung pano kayo imakto!" He said, scolding his men and right after kami naman "I did send you guys out there to learn to adjust sa gantong sitwasyon para makapaghanda kayo sa mga biglaang pang yayari at hindi para maging mga spoiled brat sa gitna ng laban" He said out of dissatisfaction about what happened

Natgilan kami when Sephanie scoffed and start speaking, kanina pa rin kase sya tahimik at hindi nag sasalita pati na rin sila Theo at Ryegen habang pabalik kami dito so medyo nagulat yung iba saamin nung mag salita sya "I'm not trying to put every blame on you dahil alam kong may mali din ako but if didn't send us there in the first place, knowing that we just trained for one freaking day that hasn't even passed I wouldn't loose a friend" She said

I could feel and hear how devastated she was by just hearing her voice as she spoke. I mean lahat naman kami is down after knowing what happened to Leo kahit na hindi naman kami ganon katagal nag kakilala, but we've seen how much he cared and took care of his friends in those last hours

"I know I'm wrong in that decision and I'm so sorry for your lost" The prosecutor said as he goes back to his seat and place his hands above the table, trying to calm himself down by sighing "I shouldn't have done that but I'm just so eager for a progress to happen to y'all" He said

"Gusto ko lahat kayo ay makapag-adjust ng mabilisan sa gantong sitwasyon para maging handa at maprotektahan nyo yung sarili nyo but I didn't expected it to turn out this way" He said, I could also tell that he is also devastated by the lost of his people and Leo because I could hear the disappointment in his voice after saying those words

After that he just stood up infront of his desk as he sigh again "Just go to your room everyone, I know it's been a long and tough day for each one of you so I think lahat ay deserve ng pahinga. Also para sa mga kaibigan ni Leo wag kayong mag alala dahil papabalikan namin yung bangkay nya bukas para dalhin dito at mabigyan ng maayos na libing" He said

Wala na rin namang kaming nagawa kung hindi sumunod dahil lahat naman kami ay alam na tama sya, were all frustrated, tired and so down right now so I guess tama lang din na makapag pahinga muna kami kahit papano. Habang hinahatid kami ni Hestia papunta sa kwarto ay napansin nya ata yung katahimikan at bad atmosphere around us while nag lalakad so she just also stayed quite and did not bicker with Sephanie anymore as they usually do

Hangang makarating kami sa kwarto ay walang nag salita kahit isa saamin and I just didn't mind it anymore since I understand naman. Me and Klaire just cleaned ourselves up bago kami mahiga and nakatulog din naman kaming dalawa agad kahit hindi pa naman gabi dahil sa pagod

And also because of that kinabukasan na din ako nagising nang mag marinig akong ingay na nangyayari sa baba. When I raise up in my bed ay napansin kong wala na sa kwarto namin si Klaire so nag hilamos at nag linis nalang din muna ako bago sumunod sa baba.
