The crowning ceremony was taking place yet again. Mallory looked as gorgeous as ever. Two coronations in just a week, wow, the realms were really confused. Tyland, although not the head of his house, his twin brother jason held that title, Tyland bent the knee and assured the golden companies allegiance to its rightful Queen.
Mallory didnt care for kings or queens. SHe wanted to be cristons queen but right now he was talking to the former queen. What was she even still doing here?
Tully glanced to criston and Alicent and wondered what they were saying. Mallorys lips pursed wondering the same thing.
"I suppose asking you to come with me is pointless." Alicent whispered. She wiped at her eyes. She was finally free of viserys and then she lost her sons. Both of them in the span of just a few days. Criston looked to his feet.
"I have been released from my vows." Criston admitted but he was going to quit anyways, he couldnt continue to serve the crown and not his heart. "But Im staying in kings landing."
"For what purpose?" Alicent questioned.
"Love."
"Love?" Alicent spat back.
"It's strange what the heart craves." Criston remarked. "But I found it and I want to hold onto this feeling for as long as she will let me." Criston agreed. "So I wish you the best of luck in old town with Helaena."
Rhaenyra had graciously allowed Alicent and Helaena to leave, after bending the knee and relinquishing all claims to the throne, Helaenas children as well. Then they would go home to Old town and never return.
"Who is she?" Alicent begged.
"Does it matter?" Criston countered.
"It does" Alicent agreed.
"I dont want you to hate her because my heart fell for her and not you." Criston countered, Alicent held back a sob. "I am sorry if I blurred lines between us-"
"You were an honorable knight." Alicent corrected. "And... I am grateful to you."
"What do you think?" Rhaenyra questioned.
"I told you we could trust them." luke agreed. "And since I was right and ever the crucial part in your victory..."
" already asking for favors?" Rhaenyra mused. "Alright what is it?"
"Mother, - your grace- I would like to give my claims of driftmark to Rhaena." Luke remarked.
"What?" Rhaenyra countered.
"And end the union."
"Why?"
"Because i have been in love with Tully Strong since the moment I locked eyes on her." Luke admitted breathlessly.
"Who?" Daemon countered leaning in.
"Tallulah Rose Strong, she is the most amazing person ever, please dont deprive me of true love!" Luke begged. Rhaenyra glanced to Larys and Tully, they were with a blonde girl, Mallory was used to that title. Blondie, loud mouth, sexy, she didnt mind the nicknames. But Criston calling her darling was her favorite.
Although the lannisters had been for the Greens, Larys assured them that Tyland was loyal to the crown, he had daughters to worry about after all. He would get his family in line with the rightful queen. Which he did and bent easily. Tyland wasnt a fool.
"I will speak with her brother." Rhaenyra agreed, Luke hugged her tight.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Luke declared over and over again. "Best mother ever!" he ran off shuffling to a stop beside Tully. Rhaenyra watched them as Tully smiled down at Luke. He was almost a head shorter than her but he looked up at her like she was the sun, the moon and the stars.
"Dance with me? Please!" Luke added and tully slipped her hand in his.
"So much for no boys." Mallory mused. "Lasted what? A day?" Larys rolled his eyes. "We will keep a better eye on our girl." Mallory assured.
"No one is going to hurt her again." Larys agreed. Tully smiled as she tried to spin under lukes hand.
"Excuse me I have to steal my man before the former queen thinks she can con him into leaving me." Mallory sassed strutting off. Mallory moved to Criston grabbing his hand and Alicent tensed visibly. Criston smiled down at Mallory as she snuggled into his side, she fit perfectly with him.
"Loud mouth Lannister?" Alicent questioned.
"Hey." Criston demanded silencing her. "Mallory is my loud mouth." Mallory stuck her tongue out at Alicent before Alicent was led away.
"I have to say goodbye to Helaena but dont go anywhere." Mallory declared.
"Right here." Criston agreed. Mallory ran off hugging Helaena.
"I'm sorry it had to be this way." Tully was saying. "You didnt do anything wrong."
"It's okay, I get a fresh start." Helaena countered. "One where I can be myself. I dont have to try and fit this mold..." She shrugged. "I will miss you two however. I have never had friends like you before."
"We will write." Mallory assured. Tully nodded in agreement.
"It's okay even if you dont." Helaena assured.
"I hope you find your true love Helaena. A love that rocks you to your core." Mallory declared.
"Thanks." Helaena whispered. "Tully," she met Helaena's gaze. "You deserve someone that treats you like a queen. That looks at you like you hung the star, the moon and the sun." Tully blushed.
"So do you." Tully agreed hugging Helaena again. Mallory grabbed them some drinks.
"A toast!" Mallory declared. "To us! And our futures. May they be filled with love, lust, and happiness."
"To us!"
