Scrambling off the sofa, Tara grabbed the closest thing to a jacket and tossed it on.

It was 25 degrees out at most.

And someone had to torture her and knock on the door.

She sighed and tossed it on, opening the front door. A rush of cold air hit her in the face and she could feel her eyes tear up and could see her breaths come out in puffs of white.

It smelled like winter.

Tara shivered and met eyes with the guest.

"Y/N," She sighed. "What's up?"

Y/N's cheeks were bright pink, her nose the same, shaking slightly she coughed and stated: "I w-wanted to check-k up on you. S-Since Sam is out-t of t-town."

Oh. So Sam had put her up to this.

"Quick, get inside, you're freezing." Tara mumbled. Despite still being somewhat cold towards the girl, she still felt bad for keeping her on the freezing porch.

"T-Thank you." Y/N muttered, sliding inside and watching as Tara shut the front door. "G-God it's freezing out there..."

"No shit, it's the middle of winter." Tara rolled her eyes.

Y/N nodded quickly, blushing even deeper.

"Why are you here?" Tara groaned, tossing her coat on a chair and rolling back into the blankets on her couch.

Y/N stood awkwardly in the middle of the room. "Uhm...I was supposed to check up on you...Sam's orders, y'know?"

"No. I don't know. I don't take orders from Sam." Tara responded coldly. So Sam thought she couldn't take care of herself?

"I'm sorry."

"Okay." Tara said, turning off the TV.

There was an awkward pause for a few seconds.

"Would you like something to eat or drink?" Tara asked begrudgingly. Despite not liking Y/N that much, she hadn't lost her manners.

"Uhm...no thank you." Y/N mumbled. "I'm gonna...I'm gonna go, my job's kinda finished..."

"Fine by me."

Y/N made it about halfway to the door before Tara stopped her.

"Y/N?"

Y/N turned around and met Tara's eyes.

"What happened? The thing that every ones hiding. I want to know." Tara said. This could be her only chance. She could actually learn something...

"It's not my job to tell you that, Tara." There was an almost pained expression on Y/N's face, like she wanted to tell Tara, but she knew it wasn't right.

"Please...Y/N...Sam is never going to tell me! You know this! I just want to know!"

"Tara...it's a lot..." But Tara could tell Y/N was getting weak.

"Pleaseeeeeeeeee"

"Fine...but just...don't tell anyone I told you."

Tara nodded and Y/N sat down next to her.

"So...y'know the movie Stab?"
