"I WILL NOT LET THIS ADHARMA HAPPEN TO MY DAUGHTERS" Drupad roared.
This is....bad? Devina thought.
Drupad took his bow and arrows out, anger clearly evident in his eyes.
Yup!It is! She concluded looking around for Kanha.
"I allowed you Brahmins to marry my Princesses but YOU DARE GIVE THEM LIFETIME OF HELL???" He roared.
"I don't care whatever happens to me as a result of a Bhraman hatya....I am ready to rot in hell than letting my dear princesses marry you heartless demons...." He spat about to shoot arrows at them.
"Maharaj?" Krishna came and stood between him and the Pandavs along with Kunti.
(My Kanhaiya at the rescue🤧🙌🏽)
"Maharaj Drupad...these are not some mere Brahmins. You are standing in front of the Ptinces of Hastinapur and their mother... Maharani Kunti..." Kanha said, calmly.
"I.do.not.care!" Drupad barked ready to shoot.
"Are you blaming them for your daughters future sorrow?" Kanha inquired, his voice dripping with disbelief.
"Do you remember what kind of life you asked for your daughters?" He continued, looking at Drupad.
"I...." Drupad was left speechless.
"Maharaj, this marriage is Adharma...but it will not be termed as one....your daughter had a pure reason for making this decision.... they are the fireborn...as pure as fire...and as strong and destructive too... don't worry Maharaj, until and unless Devina is with her sister... nothing bad will happen to her" He smiled, looking at Drupad and silently ordering him to put the weapon down and agree for this marriage.
Drupad went to his daughters and joined his hands bowing down.
"I am such a stupid and the worst father of all..... please forgive this old man..." He bowed lower.
The Princesses held each of his shoulders ans made him stand straight.
"You're our father, you can't bow down in front of us" Devina said, bluntly.
"Pitashree....this is my decision, don't blame yourself" Draupadi said, looking away, silent tears flowing from her beautiful orbs.
Drupad wiped his tears and mustered up all his courage and energy.
"Fine...." He went towards the Pandavas and said, "O sons of Pandu, I am willing to give you the delicate hands of my dear daughters, I hope you make them happy" Drupad said, sorrow dripping from each and every word he muttered.
"We promise to never let them suffer, Maharaj" Yudhisthir promised for all of them.
"I shall invite you to be our guests till marriage" He invited, royalty visible in his attitude.
Soon, all of them departed towards the palace.
The princes changed into their royal outfit, finally dropping the costume they had for more than a year.
In Hastinapur, Bhishm and Vidur were desperately looking for the return of Pandavs and their mother, Kunti.
As soon as they heard some brahmin won Princess Draupadi's hands, they absolutely didn't have any doubt that the Brahmin was Arjun. They didn't know about Devina and Draupadi's decision, yet.
Bhism ordered Vidur to go look out for them, and bring them back anyhow.
Vidur agreed, smiling from ear to ear. Why wouldn't he? Dharmas were finally returning to Hastinapur.
