Craziness Knows No Bounds

Motivation

I tapped the room card and entered room. They all stared at me. "I got drinks for you all", I said and started handing them out. "My bro is the best", said Ren. "Thank you", added Tsuki and I just smiled briefly.

I sat down next to her and listened to them talk for a bit until I remembered I had to do that stupid thesis. "Alright guys, I have to start my work", I said in a cold tone. "Aw, that's boring, sucks to be you", replied Ren. "I know right", I said while sulking again. "I agree, let's go Lisa", said Tsuki. "Aw, alright then", she replied.

They got up and said their goodbyes. Tsuki seemed to be a little sad but i didn't have time for her or anyone else. I needed to start working now. I pulled out my laptop and started typing away. Ren was sort of distracting in the beginning but after a while he got bored and fell asleep ahead.

Maybe it had been a few hours since i was doing research and typing up my thesis. The skies started to change slightly. I rubbed my eyes and checked the time. It was 3.40am. Damn I should get some sleep. I still have classes tomorrow. I saved my work and put the laptop away. I immediately got comfy in the bed and closed my eyes. I couldn't sleep. I was thinking about what Monika said to me earlier. Her words kept repeating in my head. I still don't know if I can trust her but then I remember Xienna's expression when she got taken away. It felt genuine so I decided that I will try my best to help and survive. I slapped myself to sense and pulled the covers and finally went to sleep.

I suddenly woke up. The skies were bright. 'Shit' I said to myself. I quickly looked for my phone to check for the time. Phew. I was relieved. Its only 8am, but I still had to get ready and prepare myself for the class at 9.30am. I freshened up and got dressed. I decided to leave a little earlier as I didn't want to face my friends right now. I looked over at Ren. He looked like he's having a good sleep. I took my things and slowly left the room. I still had a bit time left before class starts so I decided to get some breakfast. I left the dormitories and walked into the Academy's indoor cafeteria.

As soon as I entered, I smelt a lot of delicacies. I looked and saw so many fancy food and drinks. 'That's the Won Academy for you', I thought to myself. I sticked to getting a coffee and a pain au chocolat. It was very delicious and had me filled. I thought that I could try the fancy things when I'm not in stressing mode so I can enjoy them properly.

I checked my phone. There was 10 minutes left. I looked at my timetable and memorised the room but I noticed that there's no professor name under it. I thought it was a technical malfunction. I finished up and left the cafeteria, making my way over to class.

I found the class and entered the classroom. There was not even a single familiar face in that classroom. I was greeted by a warm smile from the professor. She was a blonde woman, with blue eyes, who didn't even seem like a professor for a second. "Welcome" she said. "Take a seat". I bowed at her and went to an empty seat. There was a huge difference between her and Professor Miss Reika. It felt like Miss Reika was a demon and that she was an angel. My heart was relieved and hoped that class would sail smoothly unlike the first lecture I had. I guess you could say I was traumatised and haunted by that.

The classroom finally got filled after a few minutes, full of students who were strangers to me. "My name is Sadie Simmons" she said introducing herself. She had this aura of someone who is outgoing. The students in the classroom didn't really seem to care about this class. Maybe they thought she wasn't a big deal as Miss Reika. Lord, I should stop comparing them. I tried to focus on her lecture but it was distracting because students just seemed to talk over her and be slightly disrespectful. I didn't want to be disrespectful but I really needed to use the bathroom so I raised my hand. "Yes student?", she asked. "May I go to the bathroom, please?" I asked. She answered, "Yes, you may". I got up and quickly went to the bathroom and came back to class.

It's been 1 hour since this lecture started. It was a fun and interesting class I enjoyed but I just felt bad that the others seemed to ignore her. She didn't even call the Displinary Committee or anything which surprised me.

The bell rings, indicating that class is over. Everyone rushed to leave which felt like a type of mockery but that's just my opinion. I took my stuff and prepared to leave. "Student" I heard and looked up it was professor Sadie. "You are the only student who payed attention to my class. What's your name?", she asked. I replied, "My name is Lee Jeon-suk", and smiled at her. "Even though you seemed exhausted, you still payed attention. You're a nice boy, Jeon-suk". "Is it that obvious?", I asked while gripping onto my face. "Haha, seems like so. What is bothering you?".

Maybe it's because I had feelings bottled up inside of me but the moment she asked and the way she made me feel, I rambled about the first lecture and how Ren and the others teased me for it and that I'm stressed about the thesis. She made a sad expression for a little and sympathised with me and tells me nice and encouraging words. After hearing her kind response it made me want to work a little more harder and sort myself out. I smiled and then thanked her for hearing me out and we bid farewell there.

As I walked over to the campus, I see my friends at a bench waving and signaling me to come over. "Yo I haven't seen you the whole day even tho we share the same room", said Ren. I replied, "I left a little early for class, also you was sound asleep", I chuckled slightly. We teased each other for a little and I look around the view and then I see Professor Sadie, she looks at me and I wave at her. Suddenly Ren hits my butt and I turn around, "what the hell dude, you gay?" I asked. "Nah, but who you waving at?", he asked in response. "Oh, my new professor I met today. She's very nice", I replied and turn around but she's gone. "Where?", asked Ren curiously. "Ah never mind, she's gone", I replied. "Well either way, you're lucky, a nice lecturer", he said. I nodded and said "Yeah". Having a nice day makes me forget about the bad days. I really hope more nice days will come.
