GILBERT HOUSE

Elena drapes a white cover over an armchair. She pour paint into a paint trough and begin to paint the room. Isla walks in.

Isla: Going darker, huh?

Elena looks around.

Elena: It's the only color we had.

Isla: Do I think I can't talk you out of this?

Elena: We have to keep moving. Otherwise we'll start thinking and we don't want to think.

Isla wraps her arms around her waist, resting her chin on her shoulder

Isla: I'm only here because my crazy ex is packing up his stuff and leaving town but he might try to come and get you.

Elena: I'm alright in the house, he can't get in.

Isla nods her head in the crook of her neck, pressing a gentle kiss to her neck.

Elena: How are you?

Isla: I'm fine, darling.

Elena turns around and wraps her arms around her neck

Elena: But are you alright?

Isla doesn't say a word as she only hugs her back, hands placed on her hips as Elena's head is buried in her chest.

Elena: I'm better with you here.

Isla places her chin on top of her head and stares out the window

DOWNSTAIRS

The doorbell rings. Jeremy answers the door. Klaus is outside.

Jeremy: What the hell do you want?

Klaus: Now is that any way to treat a guest?

Stefan comes up behind Jeremy.

Stefan: What are you doing here, Klaus?

Klaus: Well, for starters, young Jeremy here could show some manners and invite me inside.

Isla: Fuck off Niklaus!

Isla walks down the stairs and flicks her wrist slamming the door in the hybrid's face.

Isla: Elena!

She vamp speeds up the stairs towards the room but stops in her tracks when she doesn't smell Elena's scent.

Stefan: Where is she?

Isla: She was here a few minutes ago.

She walks back down the stairs.

Bonnie walks into the living room.

Bonnie: What's going on?

Damon looks out the blinds and sees Klaus pacing with the newspaper still in his hands.

Damon: Klaus wants in, we have to keep him out.

Isla sees Klaus pull back his arm and throw the newspaper at the window with vampire strength.

Isla: Ah, duck!

The newspaper smashes through the window and flies into the living room. Everyone ducks

Isla: Seriously, cunt?

Klaus: You call me a cunt, Isla! I will show you how much of a headcase I can be!

Suddenly, the front door bursts open and the soccer ball flies in. Klaus walks up the porch with two fence pickets in his hands. He hurls one of the pickets into the house and it narrowly misses Damon's head and gets stuck in the wall behind him.
