It was early evening, Sally Jackson was still at a weekend getaway writers retreat in Boston with Paul leaving Percy at home alone.

He was sweating as he ran around the apartment tidying up everything, even throwing laundry into the washer, multitasking as he tries to keep an eye on the dinner he was making.

Earlier that morning Percy had called Annabeth over Iris Message to invite her to dinner, to which she had agreed to attend.

After ending the call he had raced all over town buying flowers, the freshest ingredients, and finally had traveled all over town praying to the gods for guidance as he searched every jewelry shop in town, looking for a ring that matched Annabeth.

Percy had almost given up on finding the perfect one, and go home but then a giant white van, Percy tried to read what the van said but with his dyslexia he couldn't quite make out the name.. pulled up cutting off his path, and a man dressed like a CEO, holding a clip board jumped out of the driver's seat.

"Young man, rumor around town is your looking for a little something special for a nice young lady? Take a look at the back of my van, you just might find something to catch your eyes.." The man suggested..

Out of desperation Percy decided to take a look, following this van driver to the back of his truck, where another round of text covered the door..Percy finally managed to read it this time and smiled as he figures out what is happening. The driver was Hermes messenger of the gods, and god of merchants, travelers and various other things

When the door opened Percy gasped.

He had expected to just find a small selection of items crammed inside the back of a truck,. But when they walked in..it was like walking into a giant flea market.. with thousands of tables set up im various locations, an endless supply of jewelry sitting on each table

"Whoa!" Percy gasped in surprise.

He watched Hermes smirk.

"Go ahead look around, I'm sure you'll find what your looking for here. A little offended you didn't recognize me, but a certain goddess mentioned to me you were looking for a special trinket for your lady friend, and she asked me to help you out." Hermes replied

"A goddess wanted to help me? You mean Aphrodite?" Percy guessed

Hermes smirked "Actually no, due to a strict confidentiality policy I can't specifically tell you who, but I can tell you that this request did not come from Aphrodite, you'll have to figure out the who on your own though."

As Percy walked through the maze of tables, his eyes were drawn to a particular section filled with intricate silver rings. He carefully picked up each one, examining the details and craftsmanship. None of them seemed to match the image in his mind of the ring he'd seen in his dreams, the only one he felt would be perfect for his Annabeth.

Just as he was about to give up hope, he noticed a glimmer of gold out of the corner of his eye. He turned towards the source and saw a small table tucked away in a secluded corner. On it sat a single ring, sitting upon a wooden mannequin hand, shining with a brilliance that seemed to defy the dim lighting of the room.

Percy's heart skipped a beat as he reached out to pick it up. The ring was made of celestial bronze, just like his own weapon, Riptide. It had an intricate design of an owl perched on a branch, its eyes made of sparkling sapphires. And nestled between its wings was a beautiful green pearl, shimmering with an otherworldly glow.
