Koyuki Todoroki was born just minutes before her twin, Shoto. She had probably the most powerful ice quirk in the world, and it activated a year early. She had to live in a house with three people who could make her ill just by having their quirks active.
In fact, she couldn't go to school because she would end up freezing her surroundings due to lack of control over her quirk, so she had to be homeschooled and underwent intense physical and quirk training to get her powers under control and hone them into a sharp knife. This training led to a separation between her and her male siblings, who received training, except theirs wasn't as intense. She became cold, efficient, and wasted little energy.

Over those 12 years, she became master of her quirk, being able to form an invisible shield of ice crystals in the air around her, suspended by her quirk and constantly refreshed by her frigid aura that emanates from her body.
On the advent of the UA Entrance Exam, Koyuki was getting ready, wearing clothes that had built-in coolers to keep her body cold so she doesn't fall victim to her weaknesses. She never wanted to be recommended to the UA Entrance Exam. She wanted to show her strength to everyone, not just a select few at this point.
She entered the exam hall, quiet as a whisper and going unnoticed by most people unless they were sensitive to temperature and felt her icy aura.
The written exam was easy enough, given that her father is the number 2 hero, she passed it with full marks within 20 minutes, she spent the next 45 minutes sitting in the waiting room of the practical exam asleep to retain energy and reduce her body temperature because she was overheating. This was all observed by the people in the observation box; the people who saw this were Nezu, Aizawa, Vlad King, Present Mic, Midnight, Endeavor, Shoto and Momo Yaoyorozu.
Shoto commented on his sister's napping, "That's a daily at home. She locks herself in her room and sleeps for hours at a time to stay cool."
Endeavor chimed in, "I can't even go into her room. It's so cold that Rei or Natsuo have to go in and wake her."
Shoto nodded in response and every one kept quiet.
It wasn't until Present Mic was explaining the points and the robots was Koyuki awakened.
"You, why are you sleeping in the middle of an explanati-..." The boy named Tenya Iida said before he was cut off by the saliva in his mouth being frozen.
"I already know what the robots are and how much they are worth. And if you dare to lecture me, I'm freezing your blood."
"That's not very hero-li-...." Iida yelled before being cut off by Koyuki grabbing his throat.
"Listen here, Ingenium Jr. I don't care about if I'm heroic to you or not. I have little concern for some wannabe hero bitch." Koyuki said, squeezing his neck and then dropping him.
The physical exam started with Koyuki skating on a road of ice that she made under her feet, blocking off most of the aspirants who didn't have mobility quirks. She slid around the fake city skewering robots and using the moisture in the air to crush the robots, the shells and the joints. This stunned most of the spectators, even her brother and father, who were now terrified of her combat prowess and efficiency. She breezed through dozens of robots, making a scene reminiscent of Vlad the Impaler, until the Zero-pointer arrived. The Zero-pointer scared many of the other participants away, which warranted a "Pathetic" from Koyuki. She approached the massive, building-sized automaton and the air froze around her as she prepared to launch her ultimate move. Many long, thin icicles formed in the air, floating around her and the Zero-pointer, ready to be released at the flick of her wrist, the icicles then tore the outer layer of the Zero-pointer apart, revealing the sensitive interior.
Koyuki breathed out, the icy mist around her becoming dense and almost solid. She created a naginata out of her ice and swung it in an upwards arc. "HEAVEN-PIERCING ICE WALL: ABSOLUTE ZERO!!!" Koyuki called out as a massive ridge of almost clear icy spears formed from the ground and skewered the Zero-pointer, much to everyone's amazement and her father and twin brother's shock.
"I can't even do that with my ice powers, she's on another level." Shoto said in absolute surprise.
"I want her in my class, now." Aizawa said impromptu.
Her results in the exam were full marks on the theory exam and 134 points in the practical exam, which comprised 74 villain points and 60 hero points. She was getting into 1-A regardless.
