Seems Pennywise knew the losers were looking for the stones after one scared him from Ben earlier and knows if they find all seven they'll be able to commence the ritual and resurrect Maturin and be able to kill him
So it's likely Pennywise will stop at nothing to make sure they never succeed and using Karen as leverage like he used Georgie before
