These violet delights have violent ends
~ Romeo and Juliet

Two women, both alike in dignity
In the ring, where we lay our scene,
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean
From forth the fatal loins of these two foes
A pair of star cross'd lovers come together
Whose love overthrows
Doth with their love bury their peers strife.
The fearful passage of their forbidden love
And the continuance of the their entourage's rage
Which, but their friend's love, nought could re-move
The which if you with patient ears attend
What here shall miss, our toil shall strive to mend.
