"𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘭𝘰𝘸" - 𝘒𝘦𝘴𝘩𝘢

Note about this chapter: This is not accurate nor the exact way the 2024 royal rumble went, so if you're confused about why someone is still in, why they're not in etc. this is why. Thank you!

"ENTRANT 30, ITS RAMONA WOODS"

No words could describe the sound of the arena that night, the sound of the fans when my name was announced. AEW really had given me the push I needed to create that amount of pop within the arena however they could never offer me this amount of noise. They created my status yet I wanted more and in this moment I had achieved it.

As my entrance track hit, boomed and echoed within the building, I skipped down the ramp. My movements agile, playful yet my face remained determined, a smirk formed on my lips, a signal that showed my opponents I enjoyed fighting and I was extremely skilled at it.

Finally reaching the ring, I circled the perimeter as I observed the action within the ring. After figuring out the best angle to approach the fight, I swiftly slid underneath the bottom rope and rose up in the middle of the action.

"Now I can't say I expected to see Miss Ramona Moore in the Royal Rumble tonight. A dominant force within the wrestling world and we're certainly about to see the femme fatale show the women's roster a level of expertise and mastery"

Three women came at me at once. Liv Morgan running directly at me, bouncing off her side of the ropes and using the momentum to run straight at me. I'd heard things about her and they were not particularly good. Thinking rapidly, I ran at her, my arm straight out and eventually hitting underneath her chin for a clothesline. Next came Alba Fyre, out of the corner of my eye I spotted her approaching me, I turned swiftly as we locked embraces, staring each other down, both us attempting to shift the other. After ten seconds, I managed to Irish whip her towards the ropes, due to my excessive force she remained leant up against them, to which I efficiently ran over and attempted to throw her. Becky Lynch caught sight of this and placed her hands underneath Alba and helped me to chuck her over. After a few seconds of struggle, she eventually hit the floor and I smiled at my first elimination. However, I couldn't forget that this was the Royal Rumble, I didn't have time to celebrate. It was almost as if Becky had heard my train of thought and turned to each other, wasting no time we both began to hit, an epic exchange of blows. Around us there was only six women left with another about to be eliminated, making it five. In one sudden motion, Becky moved me against the ropes, applying force on my front so I was arching against the ropes. This was it. I wasted my shot.

All of a sudden, as i braced myself for the fall, the force was ripped from my front. My eyes instantly opened and met a pair of brown ones: Jade Cargill. One of the most amazing wrestlers that I had ever met and formerly apart as AEW with me. Outside the ring, we were great friends and in the ring we were often amazing allies. I couldn't prevent the smug grin on my face from growing as I watched Jade throw Becky onto the ropes. Instantly, Becky and I switched positions whilst Jade and I shared a knowing glance. Let's eliminate her. Whilst Jade lifted the left, I lifted the right and hastily we chucked her over. Was there a better way to assert my power in this company than throw one of its top female stars over the top rope?

After completing our mission, Jade and I turned towards each other, her offering her muscular arm out as a sign of mutual respect, I shook her hand. We both knew where we came from and we both knew how far we were going to go in WWE.

That thought soon faded as my body hit the frim grey ground beneath me, that dreaded elimination sound echoing in the arena. The glory of eliminating The Man died extremely quick. My head snapped to my left and peaked at Jade lay next to me. Of course we weren't going to win, we didn't deserve it, we had only just joined the company yet the loss was still killing me. With my elbows placed behind me, I leant on them and peered up at the ring to see Liv and Bayley with a smug grin. They better count their days.

"That's our female newcomers eliminated! Bye Jade Cargill and Ramona Woods"

Even though I lost, I wasn't about to be sore about it, so I sold it the best I could. My right arm grasping at my left shoulder, taking deep breaths and slowly standing up, attempting to regain my balance. As I finally stood, I held my chin high I looked back at the two brawling in the ring.

"I'll see you next week girl" I offered them a sly wave goodbye and a threatening smile. My actions hopefully signalled to them that this wouldn't be our last interaction and I wouldn't be so easy on them next time.

Fans screeched and wailed, flailing their arms as I left, I offered out my hand to those who were especially eager and left the ring whilst making my way to the gorilla.

Pushing the grey curtain to the side and seeing the women sat in chairs, cooling off and watching the monitor together, I began to smile. They were communal and they seemed so engrossed in the sport. Cheers filled the room as they caught sight of me and Jade who entered a few seconds later. So many warm arms embraced me that I couldn't even recognise them all. Although there were so many foreign bodies all over me, I could feel their appreciation for the sport and my skills. I finally felt celebrated.

Before turning to leave to my new dressing room, Jade whispered to me "Hey I knew this was gonna be different". We shared a knowing smile, a shared look that was filled with hope. Whist rubbing the sweat off of my arms, I shuffled further away from the group. Until, I felt a tight grip coiling around my wrist, pressing into my tanned skin, the person's fingers causing it to turn white. My smile instantly faded as I turned back and stared the presence in the eyes.

Her eye were cold, a shade of blue that could be described as Icy and compared to the clearest water, a lack of emotion prominent in them as if there was something missing in her life. The woman's hair the deepest shade of black, casting dusk upon her light golden skin. Her pale pink lips naturally formed into a scowl. Hope no longer present in her eyes. Her straw coloured long hair polluted with a jet black dye. Her strawberry glossed lips: a sign of childhood, gone.

Rhea Ripley.

Not the one I had faced off against all of those years ago, but a new version. A version that wanted to make it so clear that she had a level of authority over me.

"Woods. What the hell are you doing here?"

Oh, she was angry. Extremely.

"Thought I might see you here Ripples" I would not let her attempt to assert control over me. I was the only competitor that had ever stood a chance against her and she knew that. She hated it.

"Get the fuck out of my company."

Rhea Ripley hated my guts. Yet it was extremely mutual.
