Today was the day. The rodeo. He'd been preparing for this all year. Alex was up by 5. He put on a pair of black jeans, a black button up, a black hat, and black boots. He walked downstairs and ate breakfast. Henry woke at about 6 and was downstairs by 6:30. He wore dark wash blue jeans and a red flannel.
"How do I look?" He asked. He was trying to get into the cowboy spirit.
"You look Amazing" Alex said kissing him deeply and finishing his food.
"You eat. I'm gonna go get my horse and supplies ready." He said walking out to the stable. He loaded the horse onto the trailer and put all of his rope and such in the truck.
His mom and dad came down showered and dressed.
"Where Alex?" His mom asked.
"Loading up" Henry said with a smile handing her an orange juice. She smiled and took a long drink.
"Perfect we can leave in 20 minutes." Dad said. Adam came down last. He looked trashed.
"Long night?" Henry asked a little concerned.
"Something like that" Adam said. Alex walked in with a Pep in his step.
"I'm going to leave early. Henry you ready?" He asked. The Frenchman nodded and walked out to the truck with the blonde.
"Are you ready?" Henry asked.
"Ready as I'll ever be" he said gripping the steering wheel until his knuckles turned white. Henry noticed and gently rested his hand on Alex's thigh. The blondes grip loosed ever so slightly.
When they reached the event Alex pulled around back. He parked and took a few deep breaths.
"Calm down. It will be ok. Let's get earthquake out and you some water" Henry said. Alex nodded Alex got out and walked around to the back of the truck. There were other competitors looking at the two alphas. They reeked of each other. Alex opened the doors of the trailer and there stood his mustang. She was 15 hands high and weighed roughly 1350 pounds. She was muscular and light on her feet. Alex carefully walked her off the trailer. People stared. The horse was beautiful.
Two hours later. The roping division had started. Alex mounted earthquake and bit his lip. There person in front of him had a fast run so he knew he'd have to push his girl hard. The minute his name was called and the gate opened earthquake sprinted. Her hooves beat the ground lifting dust. The cow calf ran but the horse was faster. Just as Alex was about to let the rope go his nose was attacked by the scent of rain. Then a commotion caught his attention. He pulled earthquake to a halt looking towards the audience. There was Henry. He looked feral and was trying to get to an omega girl being held back by a beta. Alex immediately knew what was happening. Henry was going into rutt and the omega was his fated.
Alex hesitated for a moment. This was his chance. He'd worked all year for this, but in the end it didn't matter. In the end Henry is what matters. He squeezes his heels against the horse making her turn and sprint toward the fence. Three alphas had to hold Henry back. As earthquakes skidded to a stop Alex frowned.
"HENRY!" Alex yelled. The alpha growled all but ignoring the blonde. Alex glared. He looked at the omega and beta.
"Get her out of here." Alex said sternly. The beta nodded and rushed the small girl out.
Henry was pissed he looked at Alex and screamed.
Alex thought for a moment.
"Let him go." Alex said to the alphas. They looked worried at each other before doing so. Henry went running in the direction of the omega. Alex chased him on horseback.
Not seconds after being let go Alex roped him. The rope fell around his waist and arms. Henry figured out it was Alex and rushed towards him. Alex jumped down pushing Henry down onto his stomach. Dirt rubbed into his cheek. Henry struggled as Alex tied his hands. The blonde was out of breath and sweating slightly from the heat. Alex sat on the alphas back before smirking.
"You want to act like an animal I'll treat you like one."
