It hurt. Everything hurt so much. He could not even straighten his arm the whole way because of the stinging sensation. Rans head was throbbing, energy sucked out of him. He was hungry and in a shit ton of pain. Every cell in his body seemed to be on fire.

Ran had not even managed to open his eyes, only able to groan and whimper, feeling salty tears run down his face. But those sounds had been enough to attract the attention of those sitting next door.

He heard the door open, but simply did not care enough to pry an eye open. However, he instantly recognised the voice that started speaking. "Rannie, how are we feeling?" No response.

"I know you are awake, sweetheart. You were quite loud." It took all his strength to finally open his eyes. There was Niko, standing in front of him with a syringe in his hand.

Memories of last time flooded his mind. The syringe, the same belt. And it had not ended well last time- Hence why he was injured to this extend now.

Seemingly Niko noticed Ran's wary and scared looks, because he started laughing. Quiet, small laughs - laughs that could be considered evil giggles.

"It's gonna make you feel better, Rannie. It will help." "I don't want it." Another laugh. "You do. I know you do. But if you don't, I assume you can take another round, right?"

Immediately, Ran started shaking his still throbbing head. Not a second time. He couldn't.

There was barely a fight coming from him when Niko fastened the belt around his arm and inserted the syringe. Once again, Ran felt the liquid spread through his veins. It was when the belt was removed that he slowly started feeling the drug's effects. The pain was gone for the most part, as well as the fatigue.

The time passed by. Ran took deep breaths, heart racing too fast for his liking. "W-What did-" "-I give you?" Niko finished, expectant eyes looking at Ran's. "Morphine. Great at lingering pain. We don't want you to die here, where's the fun with that? Not so soon, Rannie. We aren't done yet." "Why?" His throat was dry, eyes burning with new tears that threatened to spill.

Niko sighed. He squatted down to be eye-leveled with his victim. And as calm as ever, he answered "Because you ruined everything, Rannie. Everything. And I am willing to make you pay, doesn't matter what it takes. Now, it's almost 11pm. I am gonna head to bed. You do you, just don't run away. Oh wait-" To add to his joke, Niko slapped his own forehead, then pointed at the younger's hands and feet: Both taped to the chair, and what felt like half of Ran's blood on the floor.

"You can't!" A laugh. Ran clenched his teeth. He was not in a lot of pain anymore, but slowly starting to feel incredibly tired again. Hadn't he slept for ages today already?

His tired and sleepy eyes followed Nikos steps: The black haired walked over to the drawer, pulling out the tape once more. Ran knew what would happen as soon as he started approaching him with that same exact stupid grin on his face.

A ripping sound, then suddenly the tape stuck to his mouth. Niko checked all of the grey plastic on Rans skin, nodding in a proud manner.

His hand brushed through the athletes hair, combing it backwards. Some blood on the hairline, but he had not even looked for that in the first place. No, Niko had just wanted to make him uncomfortable, give him a hard time. He knew it was working, because Rans breaths shortened and he started struggling more to shake Nikos hand off.

However, the criminal just laughed. And without another word left the room.

Only when the sound of the key turning sounded through the room, Ran allowed himself to let those tears fall. He was drained. And he simply did not know how to live through this.
