A/n~ Warning characters are ooc because I have only seen the anime once and have not read the manga again sorry bout that.
~3rd person Pov~
The battle between the owl and the phoenix was about to begin and Akane just stood there next to her cage smiling at Nagi. "I'm sorry sir, but I refuse to lose." Akane said laughing and launching herself at him not even using her branch of sin yet. Nagi feeling he had the upper hand he bit his hand causing spheres of blood to form around Akane and she only laughed turning in her dress. "Don't worry Owl I won't hurt you to much because it might ruin my pretty dress." She cooed flexing her back to where the blades cut into her skin forming razor sharp wings on her back and a blade forming in her hand. She got closer to Nagi and sliced at him while he hit her with a sphere it exploding right on her stomach. Cackling Akane got closer to Nagi and whispered in his ear. "I wonder does your head turn all the way like an owl?" She questioned cutting at him and then turning his head to where she dislocates his collar bone before she backs away to hear the results of her winning letting all of the blood she had used turn back to just blood it all splashed onto the floor of the cage getting all over her and she laughed. "The Phoenix always rises from the ashes what about you Owl?" She questions before walking out of the cage with her cast points and trophy putting her candy in the pocket of her dress before going back to her room giggling insanely.
~In Akane's room/ Akane's Pov~
I stared at the screen watching the replay of my fight with Nagi and cringed. "That wasn't me." I mumbled grabbing onto my pillow gripping it tight. "What's wrong little Phoenix?" I heard Toto say with a bit of caring in his voice but he still held the insanity you could hear it. "I don't know what I did it wasn't even me." I cried into the pillow pulling it closer to hide my face. "He'll be fine my dear I promise." Toto said patting my head and I looked up at the boy. "Thanks so much Mockingbird I'm happy to have you as a friend." I said and he smiled at me taking the pillow and letting me cuddle into his arms. "You survived so far my little phoenix you can live till the end." Toto whispered to me sweetly. I heard a knock on my door and took a deep breath wiping the tears away. "What do you need?" I asked with a small growl in my voice hoping to scare the person away. "Wow Akane so tough, Let me in." Senji's voice rang into the room and I looked at Toto. "Its open idiot." I said just laying my head on Toto's lap and staring at Senji. "What's Toto doing in here?" Senji asked a bit of jealousy leaking into his voice and I just hugged Toto around the waist. "What are you jealous Crow?" Toto questioned petting my hair and I giggled watching Senji blush. "Get over here and maybe I'll cuddle you too, idiot." I said giggling and Senji moved over to sit on my bed and I sprawled out over both men's laps. "Senji I didn't hurt Nagi did I?" I asked and Senji just shook his head smiling at me. "It'll be alright Akane and if worse comes to worse all three of us will be stuck in this hell hole for life." Senji said staring into my crimson eyes and moving my hair put of my face. Toto stayed silent before both started to tickle me earning giggles. "Lights out in ten minutes." Came over the intercom and I told both of the men goodnight turning off the lights in my room after they left and waited a few hours before going to the rec room with my music player I had bought with cast points. I looked around at first before I put my head phones in and started to work out for a few hours. I didn't need as much sleep as everyone else only because of when I first got here.
~flashback~
I had first gotten to the facility and saw Shiro happily walking up to the girl only for her to smile and ask the question that haunted me all the time. "Who are you?" My old best friend questioned and I put on a mask hiding my sadness the reason I created the mask was because of that question. "My name is Akane Tsukino." I say smiling at her and she still doesn't look like she remembers me. "I'm Shiro." She said smiling and giggling. An hour after Shiro went to bed I looked at grandpa and sighed. "Why doesn't she remember me but all she talked about was Ganta?" I asked him and he just shook his head. I left while Shiro was sleeping after being with them for two weeks and I was put into G block one of the first people in G block and when they did the first Carnival Corpse I was a month away from being eleven. I had killed a man about twice my age and the blood stained everything it covered the walls it covered my small white dress and I couldn't think straight.
~Reality~
I stopped lifting weights turning off my music and went to go to bed walking out the door to see one of the guards standing there a sword in his hilt. "Lights out was five hours ago you freak why aren't you sleeping?" He hissed commanding an answer and I combed my hand through my hair. "I wasn't tired so I thought I would come work out." I said and then felt a slash through the chest but not hitting any vital organs. I coughed up the crimson liquid before everything started to darken.
