after putting on their security uniform y/n steps out of the bathroom stall. they walk over to one of mirrors to check if they are "up to standards". of course they immediately notice the heavy eye bags that had begun forming.
"guess thats what happens when you dont sleep for a week straight." y/n says and shrugs it off. they turn on the water to the sink and splash some water on their face to wake themselves up a bit. once they are done with that y/n pulls out their phone to check their schedule.
"hmm..looks like a have to patrol the daycare and the main atrium. alright." y/n turns off their phone and puts it back in their pocket. they walk out of the bathroom and begin walking to the daycare.
time skip to when they get there
y/n looks towards the slide, thinking about entering from there due to it being faster. that was until they get a flashback about last time they did. y/n ended up going in while the portal just so happened to be on. they still wonder why moon even rebuilt the portal in the first place. 'definitely not doing that again' y/n thinks
the doors to the daycare automatically open as y/n steps infront of it and they walk inside.
they look around checking for any movement. "hey y/n." y/n jumped when they heard the all to familiar voice at the security desk.
"oh hello solar. didn't see you there." y/n chuckles awkwardly and walks over to the front of the desk.
"sorry about that. didn't mean to scare you."
"its fine. what are you doing here so late anyways? shouldn't you be charging?" y/n asks him
"oh well i already charged earlier. what about you? you look...exhausted." solar sounded concerned
y/n was kind of already expecting the question. no point of them trying to lie with how easily solar could see right through them. "well I haven't slept in a while. dont worry about me though." y/n said with a hint of tiredness in their voice. it was clear that they needed sleep but of course they are just to stubborn to listen to their body.
solar sighs and walks over to y/n, now being face to face with each other. "you should know by now im not going to let you just do this to yourself. " he says sternly to y/n.
"you know I still have a job to do solar."
solar just shrugs "and? its not like anyone is actually going to break into the place with the history it has. except for maybe a few teenagers... just take a quick nap so you don't end up hurting yourself"
y/n still isn't fully convinced. "what about the security cameras?"
"it's pretty easy to just delete the footage" he motions to the computers a few feet away.
y/n finally gives in. it would be better if they just willingly slept instead of them just collapsing in the middle of patrolling. "alright but where could I sleep? I don't exactly think I would fit in one of the kids sleeping bags"
"heh- good point." solar thinks for a moment but quickly gets an idea. "be right back." he walks out the doors without a proper explanation, leaving a confused y/n.
"huh. alright then..." y/n sits down on the chair by the desk and waits for him to return.
A few minutes later Solar comes back now carrying a large pile of clothes. Y/n looks at solar, not picking up what his idea is. Solar sets the pile of clothes down near the desk and spreads them out.
Y/n realizes what he is doing and walks over to him. It now resembles a makeshift bed made out of clothes he had probably taken from the giftshop.
Solar finishes putting it together and sits up. "I know it's probably not the most comfortable but it should do for now."
without thinking, y/n hugs solar, catching him off guard. "Woah- are you alright?"
Y/n just nods. "Thank you for the help. Dont know what I would do if you weren't around." Y/n knows this is probably a little weird but at this point they are to sleep deprived to care. Their emotions are all over the place now.
Solar looks down at y/n but ends up just leaning into the hug and wrapping his arms around y/n. Not even a minute later y/n is completely out, having fallen asleep while in his embrace.
Solar chuckles and picks them up. He lays y/n down on the makeshift bed and grabs a blanket.
Solar now just stands there for a moment, thinking about what to do next. Currently he doesn't exactly have anything else to do sense the rest of the animatronics that live there are charging.
His eyes land back to the sleeping y/n. "Fuck it." Solar says as he gets down next to y/n. He gets himself somewhat comfortable next to them while being careful not to wake them. He ends up wrapping his hand around them and finally powers off.
I WAS STUCK ON THIS ONE FOR ALMOST TWO WEEKS SO I HOPE IT WAS WORTH IT
