Probably would be a neko/beastman because literally no reason for them not to (soft tail lol)
The possible angst of them being isekai'd without their children (however don't worry, the little ones have a lovely grandma that would watch over them) which in turn gives them the motivation to want to go home urgently. I don't see the reader character have a big priority on going home in the x readers I've seen. AND to cope with it, they treat Grim as if he was their own child.
If there was a Yuu then they would gatekeep the hell out of reader for affection because I would.
They could possibly keep being a parent to themselves with Crowley being the one who's been notified outright when they first got to NRC. I think it would be funny that they just forget to mention it after that like "YOU HAVE KIDS?" "Oh, did I never mention that? It's not that strange for a [20-early 30s] to have children here is it?" "YOU'RE HOW OLD?!"
Duchess reader could also be from the time period of the Aristocats movie so one of their conflicts to try to overcome the differences between their time and TWST's time of technology, norms, etc. Also potential angst right there.
--- Possible character interactions with Reader
Back with Grim and Yuu, bring in the wholesome with them trying to make flower crowns and being taught by reader how to weave them. Grim having no opposable thumbs basically has a ball of flowers but reader still praises him. Yuu is the one out of the two that made a wearable crown and gifted it to reader who will proceed to wear it the rest of the day.
Lilia and them instantly connecting over being parents. I imagine that actual love interests would be sparse, that they would be one sided towards the reader but thats just me.
Leona and reader could totally have some sort of beauty and the beast type dynamic. Also CHEKA AND READER INTERACTION 😭 getting reminded of their own kids and having mental happy zoomies. They don't want to give him back.
Trey and reader exchanging baking tips and tricks. They could have a cute little friendly bake off and have the rest of the Heartslabyul boys as judges along with Yuu and Grim. Of course, having major bias, Yuu and Grim are immediately going to vote for reader.
Divus Crewel and reader intercation.. idk just think of it. 🤔
