The girls were currently in the woods, looking for their old hangout spot they'd had when Alison was alive. Valerie felt uncomfortable being back here, especially without Alison.

"Whose idea was this again?" Hanna asked uncomfortably, crossing her arms over her chest.

"The shed was me. My mom just said we should do something for us." Emily explained.

"Well, couldn't we do something without mosquitoes?" Hanna complained.

"They're not mosquitoes, they're gnats." Aria said.

"Whatever! They're small and annoying, and they're flying up my nose." Hanna sneered.

"Well they're attracted to your perfume. And your hair products. And your lipgloss." Spencer joked, however the blonde was unamused.

"Are you saying I attract flies?" Hanna questioned.

"Gnats," Aria corrected.

"I don't know, I mean Sean kind of looks like a fly." Valerie laughed.

"He does not!" Hanna objected.

"Why do I feel like this is the wrong way?" Emily observed her surroundings.

"I mean can you ever tell which way is the right way in the woods, wherever you turn everything looks exactly the same." Valerie noted.

"No this is it," Spencer confirmed, "It's the halfway point. There's 136 steps left to the shed." Spencer said nonchalantly. The girls shot her a confused look.

"Have you been out here since... Alison?" Emily asked.

"Me? No way." Spencer denied the accusation.

"But you remember that tree." Aria questioned.

"It's not that weird, guys. We came out here like everyday in eighth grade. Even after." Valerie pointed out.

"I think this is totally the wrong place to do this. Whatever you call it... shrine." Spencer muttered.

"It's not a shrine. Just a place to remember Alison. What's wrong with that?" Emily asked.

"Doing it out here makes it look like we have something to hide." Spencer said. Valerie didn't say it but she agreed with Spencer.

"You're worried about what other people think?" Emily questioned.

"Well, aren't you?" Spencer stressed, "Do you really want to give that creepy detective more reasons to question us?" Spencer was clearly freaked out, they all were. Nobody really wanted to be out here.

"Hanna, why are you so quiet?" Emily asked as the rest of the girls trailed behind the blonde.

"I'm trying to keep the bugs in my nose and out of my mouth." Hanna said, letting out an exasperated breath.

"You're allowed to have an opinion on this." Emily said, making Hanna turn around.

"You want my opinion?" Hanna fumed, "I say we hold off and not remember her till we know for sure she's not still here."

"What?" They four exclaimed in unison.

"What are you talking about?" Aria asked.

"You think she's still alive," Emily asked in disbelief.

"Han, they found her body." Valerie reminded her friend.

"Stop. I'm officially scared. Can we just-" Aria began before Hanna cut her off.

"You know what. You asked for my opinion." Hanna argued, "I don't believe she's really gone." Hanna began walking back through the forest.

"We went to her funeral!" Spencer shouted, trailing behind her.
